well I finally got around to moving the IAT sensor to the intake box. It is noticeably cooler after driving. The side of the air box where I put the sensor is cold and the stock location is hot. Throttle respnse has improved and now on the stock tune while in auto the tranny does not try to short shift anymore, it holds the gears longer. I got the extension from a intake maker on the lx site, its his 9" 392 IAT extension harness. Well worth the $35 IMO. I plan on doing the same thing to my bwoody intake when I get it. On to the pics...
John i hope it works at the track but what i did was to pull my IAT switch out of the tube and put it in a small frezzer bag then zipped it tight then put that bag in another small frezzer bag full of ice and lrt it set for 3 hr till ther track opened and made 2 passes 1 hr apart and the ET were .02 diff then put the IAT switch back in the cai tube made 2 more pases 1 hr apart and ran same times. As far as the pcm i dont think you can fool it on WOT.

Yeah didn't think it would add anything at the track, figured it would help the part throttle stuff like in my 08
So you ordered a bwoody then already? Gave up on the hybrid 5.7L/SRT8 airbox combo?
Haven't ordered it yet. Just put it on my Xmas list. As far as the combo goes still thinking about it, I should just be able to get the snorkel and cut a hole in the bottom part of the box and attach it. After being able to see the intake temps now on the trinity that is what is starting to sway me to something else. They never drop below 15-20 degrees above ambient
It runs the same timing as base spark now all the time. Before I would have to beat on it then it would match up, so that would explain the improved throttle response
WOT doesnt seem to like it. I see some more knock than I normally do and saw some lt and I never get lt. So plugged the hole and back to stock location
