Oil residue in throttle body - clean up remedy?

preface: BT catch can is ordered and awaiting delivery in the next few weeks, hopefully. I plan to do a SeaFoam treatment before CC install.

2010, 25k miles. Just a Mopar CAI, canned tunes only thus far... custom tune planned this winter/spring.

Last week I had my CAI off, and I flipped up the throttle "door"/flap a little to see what the oil situation is inside. Back of the door/flap had a decent coating of oil residue on it, so I'm expecting the rest of the manifold to be a mess.

Questions:
- what are the torque settings on the 4 throttle body bolts? Wkjeeps link for all torque numbers isn't working. Anybody have the numbers?

- what do folks recommend for clean up inside the manifold. Carb cleaner and microfiber towel? Simple Green, other? Anything to avoid or warnings?

Throttle body cleaner, only use that stuff. Spray it on the rag instead of inside your intake and wipe it all away if you can.

Soak it with Simple Green, put it in Mom's dishwasher and run it for a cycle. BTW, don't do this while she is home. From my experience the wife gets upset. Sometimes I just don't understand her!!!!

J/K, gitrdun's suggestion is pretty good.

If you do a search for sea foam, on here, I think Johan says they also make a product called deep creep for this particular application.

I threaten her with the dishwasher if she doesn't stick her little hands in there to clean it for me.

Torque specs I believe should only be about 10lbs of torque fr the TB bolts and the manifold bolts also.

Thanks.

I pinged wkjeeps and let them know the torque link wasn't working. It was fixed yesterday:

2010 w/ 25k miles, without catch can, yet...

Mine looks JUST like the pic in the SeaFoam post, lol. Manifold is staying on, too much to disassemble. Any good recos on getting ALL the way in there to wipe up the pool?
