Hi guys!!! Please tell me what's going on with the 11 speaker high performance Kicker option for the 08 GC SRT8. I ordered mine in August only to find a few days later this system is job 1 till sometime in the New Year. I was REALLY depending on getting this in December. There's no way I'm going with the BA6 system and I almost cancelled my order over this. I can't drive my car and I can't ride my bike over the winter, so I'm in the hurt locker here.
I think back to the 2006 300C SRT8's and the 8-10 month delays this Kicker system caused. Those wanting a car had to either wait or settle for a BA6.
I love my BA7 in my car and I wish they had that option for the GC SRT8. I'd order it in a heartbeat! This REALLY sucks and I've asked some people going to SEMA to kick Kicker in the Internet Nutswingers...haha. The general concensus from those with the Kicker option in 06 300C SRT8's was that it was over hyped, lacked base and required cracking the rear seats just to get some base out of it. That and reversing the sub wires.
On the upside, I know of one member who traded his 06 GC SRT8 for an 08 and is REALLY impressed with the improvements. I'm looking forward to that!!! I wanna have my guts pressed against my spine, wet or dry!!!
Bernie

I will be buying an SRT Cherokee from a dealer that is 540 miles from my home. Would there be a problem driving it home since most of the driving will at a steady 60-70 mph interstate speed? I have heard that during the break-in period, you should vary the speed and should let the engine cool off after 90 minutes of driving. Would I be safer paying $1,100 and having the car trailored? I would really appreciate your advice on this. Thanks for delivering such super machines for us MOPAR nuts!
As a proud owner of an 2008 SRT-8 Grand Cherokee I would like to know why SRT has not addressed the rear end whine on the 08's that was associated with the 06-07 models.
The second question I have is; Why hasn't the transfer case (noisy clutches) issue been perfected yet?
Last but not least: Are the 08's tweaked a bit more than the 06-07's?
Thanks.

I was going to wait for the factory trailer hitch. It seems that ridicule and price may be more than a person can bear. I realize that the factory has to go safety first, but if the would sell just the hitch without the down turned tips. I really think you did not do anything but really make us all extremely mad. My words. have been carefully chosen as other comments on the forum have not been as kind. We can only hope someone will buy one so we can design our own around yours. It looks like it would work without the tips.
This question isn't related to the Cherokee but rather the Caliber. I've heard you can order an SRT4 now but is the production date set and when could we expect cars to start showing up at the dealers?
