I love the 5.0's as well. I would be happy with either jeep or mustang. Iv seen a few stock ones run 12.7s consistently. If you want a fast daily driver then these are not a bad choice. Also look into the basic boss mustangs. I would try to find one of those over the GT's. Hell you can even find Brand new '12 shelbies for low 40s. The 5.0 around town is great though, plenty of power. I drove my buddies for a week and would rarely use 1st or 3rd gear, just skip from 2 to 4.

I have both. We just bought a 2013 GT premium, track pack car with 3.73s and the brembos. It's a nice car and very fast with just a few mods. Our mustang runs within 1 or 2 hundredths of the jeep and that's on the stock tires.
That said though, I still really love the jeep.

If the GT 5.0 was as high of the ground as the Jeep I would have already be in a Stang 5.0. The 5.0 Stangs are what the pre 2012 SRT Jeep were IMHO. People have tons of fun in them.

I have both, well the 2011 5.0 is my wife's lol. It also has the 6speed and we haven't had one issue yet. It only has 8k miles though so it's pretty early, but we switch rides every couple of days and I'm nothing but hard on it. I put the diablo intune on it for a week or so while my jeep was getting some stealership work done and I gotta say with just a couple mods these things really come alive!

I drove a 5.0 when they first came out and to me it kinda felt like I was driving a rear wheel drive accord with a hefty clutch...it was comfy and easy to drive and I liked i...until I drove the camaro that's what a new muscle car should feel like heavy, torquey and like a jackhammer on your spine when you go over bumps lol

I really wanted a 1LE camaro but couldn't get past the interior. That's kept me from buying one since the new generation came out.

Keep my jeep or get a 5.0 mustang

I would never buy any mustang other than a GT500.
