The intake sucked up water and i neede a whole new short block (about $7000 worth of damage). But insurance covered it and i still have the same intake :). I do not feel comfortable with only 50 mile runflats, and chance of finding a replacement tire in less than 3-days time.(tire rack) My dealer has not been much help. From reading a few of the posts on this forum, it appears I could buy a replica rim for around $250.00 and a 20" cheaper tire from the tire rack for $150.00. What I dont know is If I purchase the front wheel and tire size,is if it will also work on the rear for a 400/500 mile trip back home. Any other ideas ?? My dream has come true and I must admitt, I was totally surprised by the performance of this MONSTER. Everytime I drive my rig, I enjoy it more and more and realize it was money well spent. I want to thank all the GCSRT8 owners on this cite for the advice (good or bad) about this rig. I will add some ext mods but I am keeping it stock under the hood for now. P.S. I work at Kal Tire in commercial Sales and I would urge all of you to look at these tires... They are the absolute best tire combo out there and I have ordered them for my SRT 8 GC.
They are the combo allot of you are going with the 315/35/20 & 275/40/20. The grips are the New Nitto INVO. If you go to www.nitto.com
you can use the tier selector to see that they are an option.
Nitto is exclusive to Kal Tire in Canada so go check out your nearest dealer, you can thank me later...LOL they also have the coolest tread design I think....
