My 07' brakes only squeals when the Jeep is cold (but only about 40% of the time)

So far so good. About 3200 miles and no squeal at all (knocking on my wood desk as I type this).

1300 miles (08) and no squeal - but like bang bang said - knocking on wood

3300 miles and intermittent squeal. Happens infrequently but when it does, boy can you hear it...

5600 on my 08 and yes they squeal some not all the time though. The rotors are really grooved also.

10239 (yes over 10k) miles on my 2008 and no break squeal. Front rotors look like a record player though. I do wash my truck at least once a week if not twice so the brake dust does not build up to bad on my ride.

485 miles on my 08 and had some squeal this weekend. not sure if it is due to the cold weather.

3300 so far and no squeeks. Went to SRT track exp. yesterday and got to play with and 07 and 08. The 07 did squeek bad when coming to a stop going slowly. Made a comment about needing the tsb for it, but got no response from anyone. When driving it hard it did not squeek at all. The 08 had no squeek and we were driving those things very hard with a lot of breaking. Had no problems with any of the other vehicles that we drove. Don't know if any other platforms have this problem, but just noticed that one 07 had the squeek. If you guys have not done the SRT experience yet I recommend going. We beat the crap out of these cars, even the Vipers and they seemed to hold up very well. Got a new appreciation for our vehicles and the whole SRT line. A lot of fun.:D

I have 12,300 miles on my 06 and no squeals and no grooves.

I second you comment on the SRT Experience, the cars stood up in the face of some pretty demanding driving, with no problems.

I have 3900 miles on my 2008. So far it has been flawless. Rearend is alittle noisy but it does not bother me.

Mine started making alot of noise at ~4K. Took it in at 5K for a fix.
Less than 2K since repair the noise has started again.
Only mild braking brings this on but it does howl some and is
very embarrasing.
Sounds like there is NO cure for this.

Hit 4,000 miles and the squealing has started. Sounds about right for these cars. My SRT8 Charger did the exact same thing. Sad, it's really annoying. Oh, and I have an 08.

Ahh... the joys of owning a loosely digiused race car! It's kinda the price you pay for the ability to plaster your passengers eyeballs to the windshield.

Nothing here at 1,100 miles!

Is there a connection between squeal and how often the wheels are washed....build up???? Mine is washed weekly if not more and not a peep!

It is possible. I would experience that with my BMW. It would get better after washing. So far with the jeep I haven't really noticed that.
