: $200K...How would you fill your garage?

Was wondering how you guys would fill your garage if you had $200K to spend (purely hypothetical my friends...I'm not quite there yet:)). Here's what I'd do:

$46K...Jeep SRT8...no brainer, really. The daily driver. And of course would be the workhorse for heading up to the mountains during snowboarding season.

$50K...BMW 335i. I love this little car for long treks...although nothing beats displacement (long live the muscle car...), the turbos really do a good job of boosting fuel efficiency in this little beauty. Perfect for road trips aka Vegas runs. I love the Audi S4 as well, but don't love the SRT like gas mileage for road trips...so the Beemer wins.

$80K...Corvette Z06. Yep, would go with the Z06 although I would seriously consider the Viper. But I like the understated appearance of the Z06...just a personal preference. Weekend toy.

TOTAL: $176K for a daily driver, road tripper, and weekend toy. $24K left over...mods anyone?

Since I can only fit two cars in my garage on a good day, I'd spend the $200K on a newer house that had three car garage..

anyway..

$125K on another Race Hemi show car - 1965 Coronet 2dr sedan this time around.

$45K on daily driver -- new 2008 GCSRT w/Kicker option.

$20K down payment -- slighly used 2007 Dodge 3500 diesel tow vehicle.

$10K on enclosed car hauler -- for my '65 Coronet.

bad taste in my mouth from sx's...had a 70 with the 350 in it. It leaned to the right due to the amount of bondo in it :)

I had one of those .. kinda. '69 442 4sp. Sucked oil through the guides... fouled plugs every time I nailed it. also the rear 12 bolt was offset about .5" tires would rub the wells on one side.

but! My '65 442 4sp was a gem -- well, other than the rochester floats sticking.

I'll add a new Challenger convertible (if they actually do produce one) to go with my '70.
The rest goes to an even bigger garage!

You must be aware of Joe Mondello? .. I ran into him on a 4 day fishing trip down in mexico many years ago.

I really like the olds Cutlass, 442.. mostly 1970. The '65 was my second car in high school... the only amenities was a heater & radio. The clutch wore you out.. Muncie M-21 4 sp, Hurst shifter, 3.90 12 Bolt, Posi .. bald tires on the rear :D I installed Doug headers.. car was pretty quick for a heavy car. 70K miles. Paid $350 for it and was arrow straight, deep red. I couldn't get anyone in HS to race me.. lol.

If I find some old pics I'll scan and post..

08 viper...That thing is already running 10s and 130plus 1/4 with just slicks...it took the z06 3 model years to accomplish that
For those interested in the 08 the acr package is also available with less weight and 1000lbs, yep 1000lbs of downforce.... track junkies salivate
If i had to limit myself to just 200k i would add an aston martin but i'd rather spend 100k more and add an f430 which i'll probably do mid 08

Easy...
My jeep- 33k left.
new car for the wife-$45k budget
Pay off wifes Altima and use for daily driver $10k
Custom chopper $20k budget

$60K downpayment on new house with another 3 car garage with space to put a lift.

$10k in the bank for my daughter(to collect intrest)
$10k in tools for the garage and basement....To include an industrial sewing machine and lessons, Carpentry tools-Huge table saw and a couple routers, (for my stereo work), Tig welder, Maybe some C&C machine tools, High quality dust removal system, etc...

I would give up the Chopper for a simple 1000cc sportbike and put the rest toward the house.

Hell I might even get just the tools and keep my current cars and maybe put the rest, minus the money for my daughter, into a new house. I could live wit that.

Well $200k isn't enough, but a 1969 HEMI Charger Daytona or 1971 HEMI Cuda' would be nice.
If we're onlt talking modern then I'll go w/the Viper ACR & new Chally SRT8.
