Please give an answer to why you won't let Dave post under another vendor????

I have no persuasion ether way but please argue your case

Is this a communism site?????

Shut down the opposition with out responding to the accusation

I was following the thread and waiting for an admin to answer, but it never came

I wanted to take a moment to respond to this issue as there seems to be a lot of misinformation floating around that needs to be corrected.

I don't want to see this turn a mountain into a mole hill so I will post a bit of information.. but please respect the fact that as with any issue on this site we take it up with the members via private message, not via public debate. To do so, is unprofessional.

It is rare and with much communication via the administrators and moderators that we deny a vendors ability to participate on the site. We do so only when we feel a clear pattern of disregard for the rules has been shown and even in those situations we usually try to issue a temporary ban so that someone still has a 2nd chance.

We expect the supporting vendors to go above and beyond what the level of professionalism we expect our users to show and sometimes this just does not happen. We expect our supporting vendors to show common courtesy and respect to other supporting vendors as well.

I will simply say that sometimes this does not happen and we are forced to enforce the rules repeatedly and then the bannings come.

Believe me, I'd like to see more supporting vendors on this site as well -- but I cannot do that when I feel the user/vendor in question will cause problems on the site.

I hope this clears it up for everyone and I have sent PM's to the parties who made the initial query.

Well, unless the original thread reappears I suppose it's clear that opinions of the members don't much matter here. :(

I don't know Dave Whoever from a box of rocks, but I saw 8 pages of posts that were overwhelmingly in favor of him just vaporize like a TBSS in my rear view mirror.

Vaporizing your membership is a great way to avoid signing up new sponsors.

We always weigh the opinions of the membership when making any decision. However, I can assure you that the membership does not know the full details of the situation as it was handled behind the scenes via PM and email... the same thing happens every day with members who register here just to cause problems, troll, use racist remarks, cause trouble etc -- and usually you never hear about it. This one is because the member is much more well known -- and so it has turn into a popularity contest.

Not a smart or professional move....In a professional world since that is what you think you have with this little forum, rules are rules and you follow through with them when they are established. You state in the vendor rules that they may have 3 separate parties underneath their vendor umbrella. Not allowing that portion of the rule book to be utilized is 100% not professional. With that being said I would like to personally know what you, personally, have against Dave, and what is your reasoning for making the decision you did. Because as a member that has been here nearly 2 years, I cannot recall one time where Dave caused any sort of a problem on this site. So what you said above does not apply to this situation or make any sense. My PM box is awaiting your reply....

Dustin,

Simply because you ask for the details via PM does not mean that we will discuss them with you. The details will remain between us and Dave.

You'll forgive me if I simply don't want to say anything about the issue for fear of being threatened with a lawsuit.

The user in question has made it clear that if they were to be let on the site they would do whatever it was in their power to 'sling mud' at other vendors and 'slander' them. I'm simply not going to allow that. I don't have the time or patience to act as a buffer between someone who is bent on doing that from the get go.

As mentioned previously, no one knows the full story except the user in question and the administration team. The issue is not up for debate, sorry.

And with that said, this will be my last posting on the subject. I'll leave this thread up as information for those who are curious but any future threads will be deleted... there is no point in beating a dead horse.
