: solved my "dog" problem...

I have 3 dogs, one of which is a 5 month old Pit Bull that rides to work with me almost every day. In the beginning just like with my older dogs the only place he would feel comfortable sitting is on my lap but as they get older and bigger it gets impossible. So I found a "pet hammock" on petsmart.com and got a comfy deep round bed to hold him in place. Now he likes it there so much he doesn't want to get out!

Just thought I'd share this solution in case anyone else wants to keep their leather looking nice.

Plush and comfy! What a lucky friend... I love traveling with my dogs, but I hate it when they "snot" the windows:mad:

That thing is great. My old boy is about to turn 14. I have to lift him in and out of the back. He comes to work with me every day though, and you're right about the snot ont he windows. It SUCKS!

Thats terrific. I have a 6 year old 120 pound Cane Corso that will goober up the windows big time, as well as the seats. I will check that out....thanks again

Off topic, but....I just felt like giving some props to IdealRides....(in fact I think you and I talked about a cheapy dog barrier once). It's guys like this, who share practically everything they do, from burn outs, to each mod with instructions, to informative suggestions, that make this forum a great place.

Thanks for all your input, your time, and your efforts, and most of all for sharing. It is most appreciated by us all.

thanks teda!
yeah that dog barrier you recommended is still in the box, had to go with the hammock for now since the new subwoofer takes up most of the trunk :D

Ideal rides,
1. thanks for sharing! I have used the Hammock too and they work pretty darn good.
2. What a sweet little Pit.
3. I lost my American Bulldog (14 years :( ) a month before I took delivery of the Jeep. She lived for car rides. I think the "G" forces in the Jeep would have been a little much for her the way I drive this thing! :) There would have been dog snot everywhere!
4. shodanusmc, I'll bet that "little" Cane Corso is all you need for a car alarm!

Good stuff guys.

My two dogs stay in the cargo area with a gate/barrier behind the back seat. Aside from the constant saliva/snot on EVERY damn window, its a perfect situation.
