What kind of miles per gallon are is everyone averaging. Curious to see what the average works out to for people that drive moderate to people that drive aggressive. Also what the best mileage per gallon you got to date.

I've gotten as a best on between fill-ups 14.5mpg's. Worst (obviously after break-in) was 9.8mpg's. Right now, with moderate accels and few WOT runs, I'm averaging 12.4MPG's. It sucks, but worth it.

Probably once I put 5k or 6k miles on it, I'll get a used mini cooper or civic to do my 50 mile round trip to work during the week. That will save gas AND more importantly the value of the truck (which I purchased).

13.6 mpg average. The best was 14.9 driving from Indiana back to Virginia. Worse was 9.9 looking for trouble.

My average for the first 900 miles is 10.5 gallons.

I'm just curious because my 70 Charger R/T 440 gets between 8 and 10
and my 99 Viper gets 11 to 16. I know we aren't driving the SRT8 for the purpose of gas consumption. Similar to someone that drives a powerboat getting 5 gallons to the mile is not remotely thinking of reaching certain MPG criterion.
I appreciate everyones responses. Has anyone hit 19 on the highway?

My first tank full I got 10.2 with 50% highway/ 50% in-town driving. With in excess of 1000 miles on my GC SRT-8 I took a trip last week in which I drove 300+ miles with 50% highway & 50% in-town & got 16.6 mpg. On one 60 mile stretch of highway with 55 mph & 70 mph sections I got a little over 18.

I've got 1,500 miles and am getting 12.0 - 12.5 in daily driving. I took one trip that was primarily highway and it pushed up to about 14.

Still breaking it in....but to date i'm averaging 13.5 and that's 75% highway and 25% in town.

I'm still in break in too... started off around 6mpg now I'm up around 9 or 10. Not many highways around here, plus I'm still getting used to the sound of my new exhaust. :)

On a recent trip from Lincoln, NE to Des Moines, IA and back, I averaged just over 16 miles per gallon.

535 miles on the clock -- remember that 11 miles of my commute is at 110-125 MPH and I'm averaging 11.7 MPG. Not bad considering the new motor factor and that I am following the manuals instructions "while cruising, short sessions of wide open throttle help with break-in" -- I just have to comply. :D WOT from 80-120 is a lot of fun in this rig.....
