It could be done.

If someone installed door poppers, or somthing a little stronger, like in the installation of a shaved door handle kit.

I am unsure if higher pressure rear (lift gate) struts would work, or, if you would have to replace them with an air operated system, that would pressure when the solinoid for the rear gate was active.

Either way it's possible, but, there will be work involved.

Great idea. If it is possible, I am a willing customer! I think a lot of others would want this mod and it applies to any Grand Cherokee.

Your state might tax you for the extra weight of your vehicle after installation. If they don't, then at least your vehicle will be taxed a little more by the added weight. :)

i was reading on wkjeeps.com that the 2007 commander has a power liftgate (first time on a Jeep vehicle)

maybe the hardware could be retrofitted to the GC?
