: A headlight mod I thought up w/Photochops
Jeep Trick 11-27-2007, 02:47 PM This an idea I had that my photoshop boy helped me fine tune
This is before

And after
http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc154/Jeep_Trick/P1010288FrontHeadlightOption02C.jpg
This is the same just not as low

I think it looks mean :D does away with the VW bug headlamp look
Think it would look crazy with the 08 HID's
Ran the idea by Squigmang to see if its feasible with vinyl, he's said he had a similar idea but had not gotten around to it yet
So what do ye all think
Yay or Nay
Blown-WK 11-27-2007, 02:53 PM Hmm I think it might be a little too ricer but its all personal preference. I think a classy setup would be to color match the inside of the housings.
Tex_SRT8 11-27-2007, 03:50 PM ..... yuk..... A for effort though!
SRTYA 11-27-2007, 03:53 PM That is not for me. Looks like BMW headlights.
HOJeepster 11-27-2007, 04:02 PM I like it.
Jeep Trick 11-27-2007, 04:06 PM Three strikes! ouch
Is there no redemption

If Matt can get the color match the headlight covers look good....

Bang Bang 11-27-2007, 04:25 PM I kinda like it....I think. I would like to see that + vinyl over the orange reflectors on the sides (I hate orange on the ft. end of a car).
Razorecko 11-27-2007, 04:30 PM I was thinking of having the entire interior of the housing painted like a black chrome/ or matching body color --on the 08's reflection is not that important if you have the hid projectors.
Inferno SRT8 11-27-2007, 04:40 PM Im kind of liking it!
sactownsrt 11-27-2007, 06:24 PM kinda like it, but what if you did that to the top and bottom of the headlight
this would definitely get away from the bug eye look and also not really copy a bmw
hooded headlight. i dont know how to photo shop but if you do i would like to see a pic
Matt McKenzie 11-27-2007, 06:34 PM I agree that they look a little ricey. I have a VW GTI and it has eyelids on it. But a little adittion like that changes the look a lot, and that is always a good thing!
1BAMFR 11-27-2007, 06:51 PM I think it looks good! Hook it up
delosh 11-27-2007, 07:19 PM Sorry...no way for me.
SI_G35Coupe 11-27-2007, 08:40 PM i like the idea... i actually think it would look cool if they were even MORE angry, like this...

Blown-WK 11-27-2007, 08:45 PM Now that actually looks pretty cool.
jordo9998 11-27-2007, 09:08 PM i think it looks like crapola.

I love this look. I was planning on tinting mine, but I might just go that route if we can get someone to make them. It will look better as a molding put directly onto your lights, then as a graphic with vinyl!
Mango 11-28-2007, 06:11 AM That's a popular mod in the VW world, eyebrows. I have carbon fiber eyebrows on my GTI. Looks mean!
It looks pretty good on our trucks, maybe some styling adjustments to get the look just right.

Hey Mango, just to let you know, they are called eyelids:

I love how they look on my GTI, and think they would be a decent addition to the Jeep if done right.
Mango 11-28-2007, 12:54 PM I know what they are, ive been nodding VWs and racing them for over 8 years. I meant to say eyelids =P
What have you done to your mk iv? I have a VF engineering RSS kitted MkV, with a bunch of AWE goodies.
Matt McKenzie 11-28-2007, 02:24 PM AEM CAI, Unorthodox racing pulleys, engine trans mount, techtonics 2.5in full turbo back exhaust. EIP ECU flash, Greddy turbo timer, Neuspeed tie bar, sway bar, strut brace and sport springs, 19in OZ superleggeras wrapped with Michelin Pilot PS2, two spoilers mid-hatch and top-hatch, kamei eyelids, 3 12in JBL W0....and some more that I can't think of off the top of my head since I am at work. VW was my first love for modding...now I am working on the big SRT8...a huge difference!
maxxjeep 11-28-2007, 04:01 PM I'm getting upset at my server and can't seem to connect to my host and upload images, but.... I played around a bit. This isn't meant to be taken too seriously.
