: Who here has a Jeep on order?
NERVOUS 03-14-2006, 07:10 PM Back in the beginning of January I ordered a 300C SRT8 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. I have long since taken delivery of the 300C, but there has been absolutely no progress on the Jeep whatsoever! My quesiton to everyone here is who else is waiting for their Jeep and what kind of excuses are you getting from your dealership?
I have been told the following:
There are production problems with the paint.
Your order was accidentally cancelled.
We cannot find your vehicle.
All I really want to know is what's really going on here?
2MCHPSI 03-16-2006, 07:02 PM I finally ordered mine today. Hopefully I will not run into any snags.
jms935 03-16-2006, 07:52 PM You shouldn't of had to order one in Michigan. Michigan has gotten more than any other state. Dealerships have them sitting on their lots. I paid $1k over dealer invoice in Michigan and had it shipped out of state.

Here's the break down for each state (Michigan & California both at 101)

jms935 03-16-2006, 10:04 PM Cali is getting way over MSRP, whereas Michigan has inventory sitting on lots asking MSRP. There isn't near the demand for this truck in Michigan as there is in California, besides the fact there are a helluva lot more people to be potential buyers in Cali.
2MCHPSI 03-18-2006, 12:55 AM Sure, I could have gone to MANY dealerships and picked one up, anywhere from 1K-7K over MSRP. Trust me, none that had any on the lot were selling for MSRP.
jms935 - which dealer did you order form? Also, 1K over Invoice, or MSRP? There is a big difference.
StageFright 03-18-2006, 06:17 PM I locked up a silver SRT8 for $500 over invoice.

Sounds like you got the best deal going.
And this was almost 3 months ago!
Anyone beat this yet?
This is what I was waiting for.
Well, I was actually waiting for my lease to end, but I don't think I can make it 9 more months.
GC SRT8's at invoice.:D
Dr.Steve 06-13-2006, 08:57 AM I ordered my black '06 SRT-8 6 weeks ago and told the guys that I wanted to take delivery between august and oct (lease on my rsx-S is up in may 07 and I wanted a few extra months of saving), they had two on the lot ready to go, but I wanted without the rear seat entertainment, so they ordered me one and said it wouldn't be a problem, I am eagerly anticipating delivery. . . and I didn't pay a dime over MSRP. . . you all should be buying in Jersey!
radduc 06-13-2006, 09:31 AM Which dealership did you buy it from Dr.Steve?I am in NJ as well and paid 2,000 below sticker for the exact same jeep, didn't need the rear DVD.I bought mine at Warnock
2k under sticker as well. no navi or rear dvd just the way I wanted it.
edit: every jeep dealer around has atleast one on there lots. Norwood Mass has one of every color. Even the crappy small dealers have em I was actually suprized to see this. I was never in the market for one untill I drove it.

Do you know if you really still have a 2006 on order. My order from March was cancelled a couple of weeks ago because they weren't going to produce enough more 06s. My dealer, as of Monday, was able to put in an 07 order for me.
JeepSRT 06-13-2006, 09:10 PM I ordered in Feb. and am waiting for it to be shipped. It has been built for a month and just sitting in a lot in detroit waiting to be sent. This is the worst wait ever!!
NERVOUS 06-13-2006, 09:49 PM I ended up tracking one down on my own... See signature.
Dr.Steve 06-15-2006, 11:30 AM I hope ur not talking about Warnock on Rt. 10, that woman Asia wouldn't even let me near the car unless I placed a deposit first, she was a bit much to deal with. I live in West Orange but work in Iselin, McDonagh Chrysler on Rt. 18 in East Brunswick had really nice employees and trucks on the lot they let me spend tons of time with. . . I hope I didn't blow 2K by not going to Warnock, but honestly, who buys a $45,000 truck without driving it first?
Guilty as charged. Not only did I buy without driving..... I bought without ever seeing one.
candyman 06-15-2006, 02:16 PM Me too. The first time I saw one in person was when I picked mine up at the dealer.
Dr.Steve 06-15-2006, 03:20 PM I give you guys credit, u have more guts (or way more money!) than i do. . guess I just have a cautious nature
