What is the fastest Jeep out there? I have read quite a bit about the 600 by Hennessey. Then I've also seen a couple posts about a 426 Indy. Can anyone go into details (pricing, availability, speed and so on)? Thanks for the help, I appreciate the help from you guys.

The Hennessey 600, GSM Supercharger, and 426 Indy are extremely new and / or not even finished, so bona fide results have yet to be published.

Probably one of the stroked and blown former 5.9 limiteds over at jeepsunlimited.com.

We just finished our 3rd jeep with the s/c kit and I drove it Saturday. Scary fast. A neck snapper. I'm excited as hell for all your "pre-order" guys. Get ready for an absolute monster. Post up when the kits on. Throw a diaper on while you're at it......

12.5 @ 110 mph is the current record holder.

is that time for the 600HP? I believe it should be faster than that!!

They said they were running 480 hp at the tires that night. It was hot and humid. I would expect it to run a low 12 in cooler conditions.

i thought it should be faster than that, i still dont get it:

420HP x (turbo kit) 40% increase (roughly)= around 590HP
and thats not mentioned some Heads works which should make above 600HP.

at wheel horsepower: i think it shouldnt drop a 120Hp compared to crank power!!
what do u think?

They said their car runs 0-60 in 3.7sec. and 12.1
I beleive it will be in high 11s if they improve the turbo response. a twin turbo setup will have more torque and will have less lag.. thats my experience with V8s before the SRT-8s

its depends on the driver TBH....a stock 2002 zo6 corvette ran 3.7seconds to 0 to 60 with a good driver just an example

Not necessarily, that's more of a myth than fact. The real reason twin turbos are used is because they dont have room for one big, properly sized turbo, so you use two to get them to fit under the hood. Two smaller turbos won't spin up any faster than a single, correctly sized larger one will. Sure there smaller, but there also only getting half the exaust pressure to each one instead of all the cylinders feeding a single turbo.

check out Garrett's turbo tech for a great tutorial:

also, HP Performance, who sells many twin-turbo kits, say the only reason they go with two is because of size restrictions in the engine bay. These guys have several customers with streat cars running 9s so they know there stuff.

Thanks a lot man,
so sizing the Turbo is the key ..

Yep, thats the real trick/problem. You have to either do all the math yourself and calculate the right size turbo (and housing) to match up to your engine, then build the tubing, and make it all fit(or find someone who can); or wait for someone like Hennessy to come along who has done all the "work" and just go with their kit.

:) Thanks again,

This forum will be more active when we have more forced induction kits in the market.

I am pretty sure the SRT600 Jeep that ran at the track a while back had a stock motor and stock heads and was there for the purposes of a few shake down passes.

Scary fast.

So how fast is "Scary fast"?

they have heads and cams for these motors now. Add headers and exhaust to that and you will be even higher. Buy a super charger and man. There is a guy who has a super charged 6.4 or 392 and he can't keep a tranny long enough. There is another guy who has a ls1 computer trying to run a twin turbo system with his 6.1 with all forged internals.
