Ok, after reading several posts about the rear fogs, I decided to wire mine up using a trailer hitch plug. I read that on the trucks we have two wires coming out from the rear fogs (one black the other green with orange stripe). Well, my truck has a black and the other red with a blue stipe. I also read that people are wiring from the plug which is located near the exhaust pipes to each light. While under my truck I discovered a factory splice on the left(driver side) and the wires connect the right and left fogs using the wires as described. My question is why can't we just splice into that location using the trailer plug instead of running unnecessary wires across the rear. If I'm not mistaken the green and yellow wires from the trailer plug would go to the splice with the red with blue stripe. The white wire from the trailer plug would go to the splice with the black wires from the fogs. The factory splices are located under the black plastic wire loom close to the left rear fog plug. What do you guys think, do I sound correct?
Also, I checked under the hood at the fuses. I noticed that in the larger fuse panel, I'm missing two fuses in locations that state rear fog options. In the smaller fuse panel, I'm missing a micro fuse for each location marked LEFT TOW STOP/TURN and RIGHT TOW STOP/TURN. Do I need to replace all these fuses.....Any help is greatly appreciated
