I ordered a 2007 Steel Blue SRT8 a little over a week ago. The dealer said that it would take 8-12 weeks to deliver. I know this dealer is big enough to get them: I have seen a couple for sale over the past few months.

He also tried to stick me with a 15% markup, which he eventually agreed to drop. !@#$% dealers.

He said that vehicles usually take 6-8 weeks, but since this is a special model, it may take longer. For the others who have ordered their 2006 models, how long did yours take?

I ordered my 06 from a small Jeep dealer last March and I still don't have it :) I found one at another dealer for EP and purchased it 3 weeks ago. I have not cancelled my order with this dealer and I have not told them I already got one. We spoke about a month ago and he informed me that I would get an 07 and it would be at 06 pricing, it's still not scheduled for production as far as I know.

SRT8 GC's are on a lottery system. When your ticket is "picked", expect delivery within two months.

My production began 5/15, my shipdate was 6/17, and I procured my vehicle the day it arrived at the dealership, 7/10.

It is erroneous for a dealership to give you an EDA when production has not even started. Check with the dealership every few weeks to see if your ticket has been picked (their computer system has tracking). Once your ticket is selected, prepare for the longest two months of your life :( .

Ordered mine (the wife's actually!) Jeep SRT8 in April, just picked it up last Saturday (August 19,2006).

When I ordered my Manum SRT8 it was ordered in the begining of October and was picked up in the beginning of December.

6-8 weeks??????? only if it's shipped from another dealer that has one! If not, and you get it that quick, you are very well connected!

You ordered your SRT8 GC in April, but your build-date was most likely late June. Building does not initiate directly after ordering.

No, I have a fax, with a VIN, and with a delivery date of June 19th 2006. It still took until August to get it. I was paying insurance a couple of weeks in advance of pick up, because it was "supposed to arrive".

And, the VIN on the confirmation matches my wifes Jeep.

I wonder if your location had anything to do with the extended delivery...

Could be, I assume that seeing it's an Alberta destined Jeep SRT8, and Alberta is only scheduled to recieve 33 Jeep SRT8s, they may have waited until 3 or 4 were to be shipped? I would think that volume wise, Ontario and Quebec would be priority, as well as being much closer to manufacturing.

just spoke to my dealer today up in Montreal. I ordered it end of June. Back then, he told me oct. timeframe. confirmed with me today that my 07 GC SRT8 is in production and expect to receive in 5-6 weeks which puts me end of sept / beginning of oct. let's hope he's right...

its a 5star dealership and the sales guy is a co-workers father in law. hope the connections come through :)
