Last night, my wife took the beast because she had a course downtown and wanted to use the navigation. I'm relating her story second hand because it cracked me up...
She and her friend were on their way home and she said to her friend "Check this out" and floored it on a green light and then let off around 100kmh. By the next light, some d-bag in a white 330xi was pulled up beside. Apparently, the guy in the Bimmer was unaware of the power of the Beast because he looked over smirking and tried to go from a dig (sipping a coffee at the same time). Needless to say, my wife absolutely walked on it and left him in the dust. Next light, same thing, except the d-bag has now put down his coffee. Same smirk. Same kill by my wife. At the third light, my wife was turning off but she could see as she waited to turn right that he had pulled into the lane closest to the turn lane with his window down. He was too far behind, so she never heard what he had to say...
I was pretty excited when she told me - not because a 330xi is anything close to a challenge, but because she didn't let the d-bag think a) less of the Beast, or b) less of her ability to drive it like it's meant to be driven. In all reality, he probably just kept on because who wouldn't race a hot blonde in a fast car - but I'm sure he left with a bruised ego.
