: Wont be driving the GCSRT8 much anymore....
This is a good thing...I got a call from my boss a few days ago, He told me Im approved to move to a location closer to my house...UHM 4.8 miles away to be exact....All I had to do is get permission from the building manager.
Well he has approved it and now I will be using my 1990 GMC conversion van that has 49,500 miles on the odometer to go to and from work...1 tank should last a month in the van...I will finally be able to put a car up for the winter. And if the van breaks down, I will have my Bicycle in the back so I can ride the rest of the way to work......
I am absolutely ecstatic about this.....I no longer have to come home pissed from sitting in traffic for an hour on a 19 mile drive....And I will save a T:DN of gas and wear and tear on the Jeep.....Hell I might even run out of warranty due to time and not miles for a chance.....
Its like getting a big raise in pay and a big reduction in frustration...
I could do backflipps :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
squigmang 11-01-2007, 07:13 AM Congrats man, but easy on the backflips. they are harder than it would seem.

I was 18yrs old and 155 pounds the last time I went flippin. I am now almost 30 and 220 pounds...I dont think I will be trying it any time soon....:D
Mango 11-01-2007, 07:23 AM I wish I could say the same! My commute to my school is 50 miles...ONE WAY! I do 100+ miles a DAY in driving...I wish I could find a school closer to home but its hard to come by. I rarely drive my SRT8 to my school, thats what the GTI is for.

Thats what Im talking about. I havent worked this close to home since I was in highschool...Its always been between 18 and 20 miles. It may not seem like much to some but around here, its a difference of like an hour and a half of traffic. It took me about 30 minutes to get to work and like 45min to an hour to get home. And I leave at 5:30 AM. now I should have 15minutes driving time each day total.
I cant believe it...
Plus I will be working directly across the street from my father-in-law....One of the most wonderful people on the planet. So Ill see him every day...
This is so AWESOME....

Hey Mango, I want to buy a paintball marker...I LOVE the look of modded Tippman a5's...I wanted to do a sniper style, but I want a gun that I can use while doing close quarters too....and I would like to be able to go full auto when needed. I got tore up last weekend by a guy with an automatic....
I also need goggles that dont fog on me...I couldnt see for half each match..
Any suggestions?
Oh and my dad purchased a honda civic hybrid because the price each month for the car and gas was less than just gas on his dodge fullsize. You may want to look into the same...I would absolutely be arrested for roadrage if I had to drive 100 miles a day.
Mango 11-01-2007, 07:44 AM Hey, there are lots of really good paintball markers out there for woodsball/scenario games. Maybe look into the Tippmans or Tiberius guns? The Tippman X7 with electronic trigger would be NASTY! You'd destroy people.
For goggles, stick with V-Force Profilers. Expensive? Yes, but they will not fog up and the lenses are easily changed! Just two clips.

So the tippman X7 would be better than the A5 for both woods and close quarters? I am a sniper at heart...I dont have a problem getting to a target from long distance at all...I just need a gun that will go farther than I can see... I wish these markers were like real rifles...I would be VERY effective at it.
Which is better the Tippmans or Tiberius guns?
CentralTexHemi 11-01-2007, 07:47 AM Just dont forget to keep her in shape while she is up for the winter, crank the Jeep up every now and then, anyone got proper winter car storage care please chime in I live in Texas we do good to see ice much less snow and if we do you definately do not want to be next to a Texan on icy/snow roads

Ok my opinion is bad for the X7, have one, never worked right...have a few Older A5 - you need to replace the cyclone every so often.
Tiberius... Have one too, one of the first, (low serial #) theses guys stick behind their stuff.
Goggles have to be the Vents Avatars, IMHO.

Been there done that...I was stationed in Tx for a while.....I was doing 90 in the 2 inches of snow....the Texans were crashing, and pulling over on the side of the road...Semi trucks were crashed...I was just cruisin.
The trick to it is to quit hitting the brakes...slowly apply brakes and stop....give yourself plenty room to stop.
I went down to San Antonio for my cousin's Military graduation cerimony....while going through Dallas I saw a crapload of accidents.
The thing I dont get is why Dallas bridges are closed during ice storms.....Half the damn city is Bridges:confused::confused::D....
But you are right....I wont be putting the jeep up completely. My van is old, so I dont do much long distance driving any more with it..I have to go to springfield Il once a month for military service so the jeep will see at least 400 miles a month.

It's a good one but you have to be a one shot one kill type of player for that.

Thats more my style...but maybe theres something I can do to allow full auto?
OurZoo 11-01-2007, 09:12 AM I wish work was closer to me. 44 miles each day with an average drive of probably 40 or so minutes a pop. The best I ever did was on a Saturday morning which was probably 15 minutes max. :) Anyways congrats on the raise if you will!
tainui 11-01-2007, 10:26 AM Congrats! There is nothing like a short commute.
Somedays my Jeep doesn't even start...well, my commute is about 7 steps down the hall.:D
