Well I picked up one of these brackets in the size that I was told on here. It is being a pain in the butt to install, and it does not seem long enough to clear that box in the back of the mirror. Anybody have a clue what I am doing wrong here?

Edit... this must not fit the 08's cause it is way too short. Anybody with a different model year wanna buy it from me for cheap?

Figured :(

Question, if I were going to mount it on the underbelly of that plastic box thing, what do you think would be the best thing to do it? I was thinking that 3m Velcro stuff they sell at autozone but not sure if it would be strong enough. I have some of that automotive trim tape that would for sure hold it, just not sure if I am going to want to be able to take if on and off.

I used some super strong velcro for my Escort that I got at an auto parts store.

I think I am going to go try and find some xtra strength velcro tomorrow. Just hope it can deal with the weight of the V1, I am not sure how heavy your detector is.

I have my V1 mounted above the rear view. The only problem is the suction cups seem to give way very easily. I applied some silicone onto them and that solves the problem for a month or two. What other methods are you all using?

I honestly don't know if the stem is different. It is a tight fit and a pain in the azz to get on the first time. Mine rubs up against it just a tad and is kinda squished if you will. Anyways, if it really wont work for you shoot me a PM. I've been meaning to buy one for the Charger for myself anyways.

Yeah, it is not long enough to stick under the mirror. It's yours, pm on the way.
