: This is what I was talking about..B&G vs Dyno Tune
Blown7 10-30-2007, 06:36 PM Now check this link and understand what I was sayin last week.
B&G is good if you don't have a dyno, but nothing replaces a good dyno tune.

Wheat_Burner 10-30-2007, 06:52 PM That thread is a good read. The emailed tunes are fine as long as they are not too aggressive. The problem is that people want to duplicate more aggressive tunes that were performed on a dyno for a different car.

The big question, who has the best answer for the long term for the "rest of us"? Diablo, B&G, SCT, or your project? All would love to know.
Blown7 10-31-2007, 08:39 AM Well I'm biased but mine of course LOL!!!!!
Seriously I don't have anything to offer right now,
However I can say that after the first of the new year you'll see some really neat things ....like being able to change gear ratios, and paddle shift in Stage I
Stage II well that will be a whole different animal
And Stage III well that will allow everything to change, even the PCM . :D
TexanAviator 10-31-2007, 08:43 AM makes me wish we had a tuner out here in Texas for these things :(

Thats where Emailed tunes come into play, when you have no other options.
Just you, the ability to go online, a computer, your truck, a handheld and an air/fuel gage. :)

I thought the emailed tunes would be much safer than what ProMotion is claiming and showing in his graphs.
Also, I have never seen so many nicely modded, high HP cars, without widebands.

Actually he mentions Dallas,TX-I'm waiting on his response as to where in Dallas:D
If anyone is interested in a Mail Tune or getting dynoed at our shop, feel free to PM me immediately for pricing. We are starting to back up right now on Dyno Appointments. We also are Offering Travel Tuning to anywhere in the USA. For this option you will need to get 4-5 cars confirmed to tune before the trip can be planned. We have right now a schedule being worked on for the Atlantic City NJ area and the Dallas TX Area. If you are in those areas, please contact me ASAP.
larryc7777 10-31-2007, 10:14 PM Didn't the guy referred to in the linked post specifically ask B&G to make the changes that caused the issues with his car? If so, how can the B&G tune be at fault? I would think that the dyno operator would make changes also if requested to do so by the customer.
gculver 11-01-2007, 08:01 AM Most engine failures to date have been the result of end user adjustability. To much timing, not enough fuel and turning off the Knock sensor's(not a smart move). There are also a number of failures related to Diablo's canned tunes being used on a head/cam cars.

CentralTexHemi 11-02-2007, 10:16 AM This is the response back from ProMotion Tuning and it has me confused and I'm sure other Vendors who are doing CMR tuning
"At this time we are the only CMR Tuner in the USA. You can confirm this on DiabloSport.Com website. We are planning a trip to TX in the next 45 days or so... We will be tunind vehicles down there for customers."
Thanks
james
gculver 11-02-2007, 10:29 AM I think he is saying...he is using non-beta CMR software!
TexanAviator 11-02-2007, 10:35 AM Count me in for a tuning meet in or around the Houston area!
CentralTexHemi 11-02-2007, 10:45 AM Gotcha Greg, you wanna do this just to see what they have to offer maybe take one or both of the Jeeps to Dallas?????
gculver 11-02-2007, 11:04 AM It's supposed to be in Houston...I'm thinkin bout it...but theres more to tuning a JEEP, than an LX...TM/ESP/TCM is a huge part of it...and he's got no experience...so I don't know what to think @ this point....I think it's going to be a F.R.I combo thing, but no worries..I know emm!!...I guess we will know more, the closer it gets, but I'm game!
Blown7 11-02-2007, 04:18 PM Tunings tuning and James seems to be quite knowledgeable about using the CMR software,
The CMR will not touch any other modules.
