Well, I've read the manual and went by the manual standards and procedures to properly break-in my engine (including some racing i couldn't avoid, i just HAD to smoke a brand new M5) and right now, im at around 415km mileage
(250miles). But I feel that my engine has broken in. It drives much much smoother since the first 2 days of driving it and it accelerates much much better than the first two days of driving also. I just want to know if it depends on your driving that can speed up or slow-down how quickly the engine breaks in. Thanks for any positive information. And btw the car is just amazing.

You never know, the E60 M5 isn't the easiest of cars to get optimal performance out of.....various SMG settings, not to mention the you have to press the magic button for the 500hp to kick in.

Yes, someone that knows how to drive the E60 M5 and has the settings prepared will hand the SRT8 its ass on a platter.

Just remember SRT GR8's GC SRT8 is supercharged with JD goodness. Don't **** with him or his truck (also known as Lucy).

The M5 even if driven by a modest driver with modest driving experience is still a very forgiving car when driven by a less experience driver and can trap well into the 114-116 range like a std. Corvette which is about 8 mph faster than the SRT-8.
