: Very Strange Ac Issue With Jeep

Hello, not sure if anyone has heard of the strange problem Im having with my Jeep Grd Cher Ltd 4.0; It's been 105 degree's and my AC is not working.

The STRANGE part is that I hear the fan blowing, and I can definately feel a trickle of very cold air (at least from the driver side) but its as if the "shutter" door or whatever mechanism it is that allows the air to blow inside the car is stuck or broken. So, I turn on the AC and the blower starts, but no air comes out, that is, most of the time. Sometimes, I may be driving and all of a sudden whatever is stoping the air seems to give way, and then it works fine. But this is the exception. I haven't been able to get the AC working for the last week. I've tried turning to different settings, off/on, floor/upper, etc.., to no avail. Added Air Coolant, so that's not the issue.

Anyone deal with this issue before? Or have an idea what it might be?

What year? Have your refridgerant checked.

Yeah, I checked the refigerant, it was fine. The little air that I can feel is coming out very very cold. So it seems its not a cooling issue. And when the AC does come on (for no apparent reason, I could be driving and all of a sudden it will just start working) it will come out cold.

I've tried switching to Auto, defroster, floor and front, etc.. None work. And I hear the Air blowing. It seems as if there is some type of obstruction in preventing the AC from actually releasing out of the vent?

I have noticed too, on occassion, when the AC has worked, that the passenger side vents are blowing out heat, while at the same time, the driver's side vent's are blowing out cold air?

I WENT TO A DEALERSHIP AND A MECHANIC TOLD ME ITS A PROBLEM WITH THE "BLADDER" DOORS?
Never heard of "Bladder" doors, anyone know what that is?

Worst part is the guy told me its a $2500 job!! DAMMIT!!
