I was at GSM to today finalizing some dyno work and I asked Scott if he could down load the new MYGIG download.....while at it we discovered there are four new flash updates for the 08.....
1. SunRoof
2. Front Differential
3. Entertainment System
4. ECU Upgrade

Just thought you guys would want to know.

I believe you 08 guys are lucky as the General came across an option on the Starscan this morning at GSM to enable watching movies in the front of the cab. I'm sure he'll chime in later on what he did exactly.

Yes, in-motion. Starscan can turn this on or off for any '08 models with the MyGIG radio.

Nope. Unlike the new MyGIG, the REC was not designed to play DVD movies. Some aftermarket hacks have been done, but I believe it involved only adding "line in" jacks to feed a separate DVD player into it, not actually allowing the REC itself to play movies. I'm in Las Vegas this week at the SEMA show, I'll try and check with some of the aftermarket companies to see if anything new has been developed, but I doubt it.
