I am new to this forum and very keen on getting an SRT8. I wanted to ask you experts a couple of things that could help me take the plunge:
1. It seems the 2007 year is just about to begin, should I wait, will there be any changes over 2006?
2. It seems like the only way to get the car is MSRP and 8 week wait, is this what I shoudl expect. I saw some earlier posts where folks claim they got discounts but I just can't see this happenign for me as there isn't a single one on the lot in South Florida
3. Any known problems I should be aware of, besides that I will need another mortage to pay for the fuel :)
Thanks for your advice.

Your right about not a single truck sitting in south florida because I got the last one. LOLOL Actually I bought my truck off the show room floor for 600 off sticker three weeks ago. They had it marked up 10 over I laughed at them. I got the truck in Tampa off of Ferman Jeep. Good luck

I live in Boca Raton and was lucky to find one at the CJD New CarMax in Orlando for $250 under sticker. At the time the best deal I could find local was $5k over sticker.

My biggest problem is whistling when the truck sets in the sun with temps over 85 and speeds over 80. They have a TSB to fix, I just have to get back to the dealer to get the fix.

You will not regret the purchase!

I think the '07 gets an optional backup camera and more .6 gals of gas. Of course, that is only about 7 miles in range given my 13 mpg.

Thanks for the valuable info. I think I will wait to get a 2007 at this point only a few week away...I assume they will have fixed the whistling noise per the bulletin on these models as well. Any idea of who the biggest JEEP dealer is in South Florida? I have the feeling that - if I am going to place an order - it may be best to do it with the dealer with the highest allocation in order to get the vehicle in the shortest amount of time.
