: Exhaust Noise in Park?

Got to say, especially after reading a few threads here, that my GC SRT8 shipped really clean, manuals, wheels, etc... All looking tight. Kudos Burnsville Jeep!

So, running out to Ontario in smoldering hot conditions, I realized the AC was dropping water on the exhaust and you could hear it sizzling, no big deal, eh?

Do others hear a tinging from their exhaust when they park their GC? Almost sounds like you're lightly bouncing a knife off of the exhaust when you park it for a little while...

Edit: Typo corrected

I hear pinging. I thought is was the metal heating and cooling...

Yep, that's the same noise. Just took mine in for an oil change, and the guy at the Dealer said it's the catalytic converter and that all is well. :)

Funny, I called the dealer a month ago to see if their car wash had a track that could handle an SRT8 (or no track) to wash this puppy. Dealer says, "no problem, c'mon in". I didn't end up going, but today he said two days after I called and asked there was a sign in their car wash saying "No SRT8s". Guess they roughed up and replaced two wheels and they shut that one down.
