When I got home today I found a package. Inside was a 2006 Grand Cherokee Owner's Manual Kit.

(My Dealer had been nice enough to get me the GC SRT8 Owners Manual, but not the full kit, I think he actually paid for it out of his own pocket)

A letter enclosed states:

"Dear Grand Cherokee SRT8 Customer:

Enclosed is the appropriate SRT8 Owner's Manual Kit for your 2006MY Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle. Your vehicle was inadvertenly delivered with the standard Jeep Grand Cherokee Owner's Manual Kit. Please replace your vehicle's kit with this new Owner's Manual Kit.

We are Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

SRT Product Team"

Two Thoughts:

1.) Nice of them to follow up and be honest about this .

2.) I wonder who found the pallets of these left over at Jefferson North Plant and said Oh Darn, those Owner's complaining in those Darn forums were right!

I got ANOTHER one today too...

I got mine a few days ago too.

My dealer also got me one at no cost to me!!

got one the other day too.

I now have 3. One came with the Jeep when I bought it and on Tuesday I got 2 more delivered by UPS.

I'm up to 2. One came with the Jeep and one by mail. I'm having the 2nd one bronzed and made into a kick ass hood ornament.

i just got mine...woot!

I just went back to the dealer and he claims he knows nothing about it. He said the manual I recieved was the one that came with the SRT. I wonder if I just sit back and wait for one to show up in the mail or do I go back to the dealer and tell him to find me one. He is looking, or so he says.

So what else is in this "kit" besides the SRT8 owner's manual?
