SRT8/BMW

I own both a 300C srt8 and an STS-V. Yesterday evening, saw a beautiful, black GC srt8 on the freeway. Since there was too much traffic to have any fun, I just pulled next to him and gave him a big thumbs up. He did the same...
Got off my exit a few miles later and he was there at red light, all by himself. He was a really nice guy..I asked how he liked the srt8 and of course he said it was GREAT. I told him I had an srt8 as well (300C). I told him I know those things are awesome from a dig... Since we had a perfect set up (two lanes, no traffic, nice pavement, etc) I asked if he wanted to run and see how bad he'd take me off the line, which I knew he would. He was very moddest..said he wasn't sure but lets see.
Two mild surprises:
1. I was pretty sure he'd pull at least a couple lengths to start due to great traction (AWD). He did start about a 1/2 car, but the STS-V evened it out very quickly. (I hit a great launch with minimal spin)
2. I thought the sts-v would pull a length or two by the time we got to 90 MPH (where we had to let off due to traffic). It did not. Those two vehicles were literally side by side..neither able to seperate.
What fun. I just told him "wow--that thing moves" afterward. He said the same.
I still suspect if we'd have kept going, the sts-v would have eventually pulled ahead...but who knows.
love those things...:)
