Hello to everybody,
my baby arrived here last week and since then i've driven it for about 900 km.
(about 600 miles). I've made the break-in procedure as suggested by many forum members and luckily, no issues at the moment!!!
The main differences from the u.s. version are the leather on the dashboard and door panels (as UK models) and all tires are PIRELLI Skorpion 245/45 zr 20, run flat front and rear     .
This jeep is impressive and has nothing to do with the 5.9 I was used to.
I've attached some pics of my baby.

Where's the antenna for the radio??? If DCX found a way to use something other than that ugly A$$ front fender mounted antenna for the export models and didn't incorporate on the US models, that would make me quite upset

Hello,
there's no outside antenna in the fender or anywhere else.
I've been told that it has been incorporated in the windscreen , around its perimeter, and I think it has been done only for the export model(it's the same for laredo and overland GC from 05-up),

About the missing antenna...that's the way it should be!!

We always get screwed in NA when it comes to exterior styling. That's why as soon as I get my ride, the billet antenna from rm360 is going on ASAP!

enjoy your ride in Italy. I'm headed there this oct.

Thanks to everybody,
I'm sure having a lot of fun!!!
Especially in these days.
No one over here seems to know what GC srt8 really is.
Maybe they think it's a special version of the Diesel  GC (90% here in Italy),
so many suv owner try to pull at the red light, especially Range Rover Sports very very popular and trendy here, but equipped, almost all ,with a 2.7 liter v6 turbo diesel (190 CV/140 Kw ).
I'd like to see their faces when they realize  that the srt8 is like a missile launching:D , but i'm too far away to see something in my mirror!!!
I've yet fo find a suv that could really compete with our beast!
Maybe the Cayenne turbo??I'm still searching one to race.

Hi,

I got my SRT8 on Friday (11th), fully specced out, and in black (best colour). All I can say - wow.

What are the litres per 100km figures?

Giovanni,

Maybe you should pop over to Germany, and let rip.

For our American friends, there are no speed limits on the majority of the German motoways (highways or is it freeways in the US).

Can you imagine!

I will post some pics, but to be honest, exactly the same as Giovanni's.

Regards
Andrew (Quadman)

Dude, thats so cool I was just talking to my sister in Naples. She had a house built over there a couple years ago near the country side ocean front. I was telling here about the truck and she said there's nothing over here like that except diesels or big doller cars. Good luck

The only thing I don't understand is why they European models have the narrower wheel rims/tyres.I asked to my dealership and to chrysler Italy but they too don't have an answer.
Now I plan to substitute the wheel rims with the U.S. type:
any suggestion where to buy them in U.S. or someone who wants to sell theirs?
Thank You ,
Giovanni

Keep an eye on Ebay within a couple months you will see them. You could contact a parts dealer here in the states and just order them and have them shipped. good luck

Well the interior you got is a nice upgrade with the leather trim. But my first objective for the interior is to replace that ugly emergency brake handle. It's so wobbly and cheap looking. Don't know why the Euro version has the smaller tire width, though.

Congrates and flex that American Muscle SRT-8

Simple answer - EU regulations.

Hello,
for Quadrilogy:
I suspected too that the reason was for something concerning EU regulations,
but I see a lot BMW or ML here with different tyre size front and rear!
That's why I'm thinking that it's all about chrysler trying to save something just because they've put some leather inside!!
