Time trials start at about 10 am but there are people there from 7am and bracket racing begins at 4pm.
You should attend, real fun.

Hey guys, I posted this over at LX and copied it here regarding the rumor that October 7th was our next Big East Meet. Because of scheduling conflicts for us and the track, unfortunately it's not - our big meet is probably going to be the weekend before or the weekend after the 7th. We won't even be in Englishtown that weekend. Here's the scoop:

As I see you've already found out, the 7th of October is not our HHP Big East Coast Meet 2 date - a lot of guys have asked us today if it was and many were under the impression that it was. The 7th is just an open track day at Englishtown raceway and they will be holding a bracket class for fun and giving out trophies to the top three places. There will be no other events or anything else going on surrounding the HEMI or the LX's. These are very small events, though fun and a good excuse to go out to the track and do some racing, but you'll be in the staging lanes the whole time and are at the mercy of all of the other brackets and class races that will be going on.

For our next big meet, we've been working on scheduling the weekend before or after the weekend of the 7th to hold the next big two day event and Meet 'N Greet. This is due to scheduling conflicts for Sunday the 8th that make this weekend not suitable for a two day event plus I'm not too optimistic that the 7th will give everyone ample track time which is what matters the most.

Also, HHP will be unable to attend the bracket race on the weekend of the 7th since we will be down in Ocean City, MD for their huge city-wide car show 'n cruise. (http://www.specialeventpro.com/endless.php)

Once we nail down the specific dates for our next Big East Coast M&G event we'll release the information here in the forums for everyone and our next Big East Coast Meet will blow the last one away as we always plan for bigger and better every time.

Sorry for any confusion that exists, I don't know where the rumor started naming the 7th as our next big meet (we haven't advertised it yet nor have we told anyone any speculated dates other than possibly late September). I'm surprised because I've talked to a lot of you guys over the past week and noone has even brought this to my attention until today. I know a few of you guys have taken off from work to attend what you thought was our next big meet and I do feel bad. Everyone who has taken the weekend off and decides against hitting the track that day is more than welcome to come down and party it up with us in OC - it's always a blast down there.

The other problem stemming from this rumor is that if the 7th is going to see a good turnout, since most people aren't able to do back to back weekends we'll now more than likely be forced to cancel our Big East Coast M&G for this fall and just wait for May of 2007 to hold the next big one due to the large expenses and hundreds of man hours it takes to plan and put on our big shows.

As soon as we nail down the date, which I expect will be as early as the end of this week or next week at the latest, we'll post it in the forums (as we always do) so we can see what type of turnout we're going to have and make the decision on whether to move forward with it at that point. Some damage is done but hopefully we can still salvage the Big East Meet 2.
