Just a rant to get off my chest!
When I picked up my SRT, the cd changer didn't work. I took it to the local dealership, had them check it and they ordered a new changer.
About 3 weeks later my new changer came in.
I took it in today to have them put it in, and an hour later everything seemed good to go.
About 20 miles down the road, after reprogramming the radio stations and sticking some cd's in, everything was working fine. I pushed the NAV button to play with the map, and was told to insert disk. ****, time to turn around.
I take it back, and they tell me they have to stick the old one in to power it up to get the dvd out, since they don't have any disks in stock. While I was there, I brought a locking gas cap that I had purchased from them and had them see if they could get it to work since I couldn't. They said it was defective, bring in the box and they'd swap it out.
They sent me on my way with my NAV disk back in and I reprogrammed my radio stations and set the audio once again.
THEN, I noticed that the brushed aluminum surrounding the hvac was scratched - **** x 2 !!
Took back the cap with the box, showed them the scratch, part is on order. Walked around the corner to parts and handed they guy the cap with the box. NOW he says he needs the receipt!! Didn't say **** about a receipt before, but now it's a must have.
It probably cost more in gas to go home and get the receipt, but I'm pissed now. Go home, get the receipt and he says they need the VIN. THEY NEED MY VIN TO SWAP ME OUT A $12 LOCKING GAS CAP?????
I wrote down some approximation of a vin, and went home to kick the dog. Just kidding, I don't even have a dog. But, WTF is wrong with these freakin' idiots??
Alright, I feel better now. :) Hopefully, these retards will reap a little bad karma for being incompetent...
