Hey guys im new to the site. I joined cause i thought maybe some of you could help me with a problem im having. I have never really noticed before that i have a slight rattle noise when accelerating or going over small bumps like potholes. It seems to be comming from more of the right side of the car or the back of it not from the engine. It smalls like some BB's being shaken around in a can. Not really loud at all in fact you have to listen just to hear it. I was wondering if it was something serious that i should have looked at. Thanks for the help!

I don't know if this is it but I have noticed that the passenger side seat belt tab (the part you stick into the receptacle by the center console) rattles under acceleration and over bumps. Apparently the two plastic pieces bump into each other. Just something I noticed, maybe not what you are experiencing

Could be loose baffles in the muffler or cats.

I believe they may be loose in mine. Is this an easy fix?

There are issues with the Transfer case. Check with your local dealer. You'll probably hear it at acceleration, again cruising around 45-50 and when slowing down....Accurate? Have it checked out. They have a procedure to fix it.

There is another problem, one of the bolts on the trans crossmember hit the exhaust pipes. Usually only happens on accel, especially when turning right and flooring it. The bolt has to be removed and shimmed out with a few washers. If this is the problem you should see some marks on the exhaust right above the offending bolt.

Has anyone that has replaced their exhaust with something like the Corsa/Mopar unit noticed that any of these rattles or noises go away?

I got the opposite, I replaced mine w/Mopar exhaust now I have a slight rattle/vibration from rear right. I'm guessing the dealer needs to tighten something. Maybe it's bad muffler bearings? LOL :D
I have heard of the bolt rubbing issue somewhere else too.

I had a noise with mine when I first got it under certain acceleration I would get a rattle like BB's in a tin can, It was the muffler, had a tack weld come loose inside and it would flap around under light to moderate acceleration. I put a custom catback on and problem was solved. The stock muffler is junk.

Mine required this also. Want to talk about going crazy, brand new car with 2 rattles, Which I had to fix myself. Dealer = Worthless
