I cant get these things off. They take a screw but it is blocked by part of the bumper. Chrystler time sheet for removal is 1.3 hours which means they take the bumper off just to get to them... Anybody here remove them before without taking the bumper off?

Candyman hooked me up with a great post from the WK forums I think...no bumper removal, just to drill a hole to get the wrench/driver in...I'm looking fer ya!

I stand corrected; ResumeSpeed hooked me up... (although Candyman has plenty of times!)
Here's the LINK (http://www.cherokeesrt8.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4024&highlight=matty).

Check the pics in that link. I used a dremmell tool to gain access to the screws.

I remember those days of trying to do my own Mods.
And then like, from the the Jeep SRT8 Heavens. They sent the Chicagoland area, Anthony Palella with a Sweet Shop and staff.
Thank You, Mopar Gods!
I remember trying to get that hex driver through the plastic from underneath and trying to get the angle. Pain in the Arse.

I took mine out myself, They are pretty hard to get out, I had my entire toolbox on the garage floor by the time I figured out how to get them out, Star headed screwdriver(or drill) with a little bending of the plastic and a flashlight, they came out, Now gotta figure out how they go back in.

Yeah if you dont want to drill a hole in them you can just yank on the plastic support that covers the bolt as hard as you possibly can and get the socket in there. Its harder then dremel but all remains factory.
