Hello everyone,

I haven't driven or seen an SRT8 in person yet. I was hoping that there would be one at the Fort Worth Car Show last week but no luck.

Does anyone know of any dealers (anywhere in the lower 48) that have a silver one in stock and is not expecting OVER MSRP??? The local dealers (from the Jeep website only shows 1 black and 1 red around here and I want neither of those).

Is steel blue on the ground anywhere yet??? Anyone know of any of that color available for sale??? I love the color, the 300 SRT8 at the show was Steel blue.

Are there any changes coming up for the 07, which I assume will begin production in Sept???

I know it has some serious brakes but how does it handle??? Would it fun or capable at the racetrack (Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Tx). I owned alot of fun vehicles in the recent past (02 M5, 01 M3, 01 CLK55, 96 M3) and love the idea of an AWD SUV with similar or better performance. I've driven the Cayenne Turbo but don't really want to spend $65-70K for a used one or $100K-ish for new.

What problems are new owners experiencing with the SRT8??? I don't consider big smiles, gas consumption or constant desire to drive it instead of sleep as problems :)

Thanks for reading all my questions.

I have had mine for about two weeks now. I love it. I purchased the vehicle on faith as well, and let me tell you I have not been disappointed. I drove a 2003 LX470 before this vehicle and the acceleration and handling are eons beyond the Lexus. Its not a smooth ride but its nothing that will rattle the teeth out of your head. The only thing that I have an issue with is that the interior is a little cheesy. A lot of plastic and I'm not thrilled about the headliner. The seats are very comfortable but legroom in the back is not superb. I do look forward to getting into my Jeep in the morning to take her for a drive. Just hearing the roar of the engine when it starts gets my blood going. Being able to pull up next to a $90,000 Porsche and know I can beat it out is a great feeling. Overall I would say this is the best vehicle I have ever owned and would recommend anyone purchase it if your in the market for a High Performance SUV. The vehicle is just that, an SUV, it drives 85% like a car but its still higher and weighs more so its not completely there. But, as far as I'm concerned, the Jeep SRT-8 is the best sport production SUV on the market and I'm glad I own one. 9.2 out of 10 for customer satisfaction.
