: Ways to improve the looks of a SRT8...?
adhesive 09-19-2007, 05:32 PM I think we all can agree that Jeep SRT8 is a monster, and simply incredible for it's price compared to its competitors... However, I think a number of customers would like to have an option that could make their Jeep look even better. I'm talking especially about interior quality which is in my opinion it's greatest flaw.
Some of you might criticize the performance, but that can easily be taken care of ;)
So, my question is; what can be done to improve the looks of GCSRT8? Both intetior and exterior?
I plan on getting a good aftermarket double-din navigation unit, an aftermarket rear-seat entertainment unit, and.... that's it? How about some good looking dash kits - are they available?
Any of you who have been messing around with your interior, please post your pics here :)
Oh, and excuse my probably bad English, I'm not from an English speaking territory :)
Tnx

tommy25000 09-19-2007, 05:47 PM you could do a REAL seude inserts... head liner. there are people on this forum that have done so and it look amazing. also people have re done their dash... some seude and some paint.. also looks great. a far as the out side... well whats not to love? MAYBE do some wheels and lower it if we ever get the kit. exhaust i guess might count. borla has great tips. keep in mind if you want to do a bunch of exterior mods i heard there are great finacing options on HONDAS:D

Did you get the toyo's w/ the 315's in the rear or stock setup ? - if you did get the larger ones did it affect your 0-60mph ? my stockers are about toast and im debating to go w/ something not as jarring'

Mango 10-23-2007, 07:23 PM Easiest way to improve the looks...buy an ML 63.
*rollseyes*
1BAMFR 10-23-2007, 07:35 PM I wouldn't change anything, I love the ruff looking Non-Pu**y interior. Jeep keeps it real. If I wanted a bit*h mobile I would have gotten a GL450 or a Range Rover. Instead I bought my 5th Jeep and love the way it looks, performs, and sounds. Jeep stands for being a "Man" :D:cool::eek::rolleyes::)

navyavi469 10-23-2007, 07:51 PM I think the way the SRT8 looks is just fine. They had to build a vehicle that appealed somewhat to everyone, but also a vehicle that was a pallate, that each person could modify to their own accord. If they went anymore in one direction, they might appeal to a certain group or taste, but the rest of us would just complain about it.

What will win? Your Beamer or your Jeep?

never tried that...but seriously,no spray for me yet..hopefully by x-mas i will have it installed and dialed in with the pred..just hoping the weather gods are nice to us..
Bang Bang 10-23-2007, 08:06 PM I agree with BAMFR- our trucks look ruff!
I must say that the exterior of the Jeep is perhaps one of the nicer looking "Stock" vehicles available. IMO- Add some tint on the front windows, some headlights covers (06-07's), perhaps debadge it, and you are all set. I love the factory body kit, wheels, center exhaust, lights etc.
The interior is also not that bad, and the changes to the 08's were a very nice improvement.
My friend just bought a used 05 Cayenne Turbo pearl white/tan that I got to take a look at last night. While the interior is very plush with high quality leather and other materials, it just feels like you are sitting in a high end luxury car, not a high performance SUV. The exterior is nice, but in a "pretty" kind of way. And no, I did not get a chance to race him yet but the **** talking began the day he got it, and will end the day I smoke his a$$!

2BADGN 10-23-2007, 08:20 PM I dont think you can improve the looks.....There are definately mechanical issues that need improved/addressed. However, I don't know if the looks can get any better. Pretty Hot now.
Razorecko 10-23-2007, 08:29 PM for black jeeps you can always "murder" it and just black out everything. One thing i saw done on the silver jeeps that looked really smooth was get black pillar covers to cover the silver pillars between the windows...or i'm sure someone could get metal ones -have them painted black than use 3m.
as such

You already have one of your ideas, your seat inserts are now 'preferred suede microfiber', that was easy.
