Now that we are about to get into some cooler weather, anybody out there think 12's in this beast is possible? I've had a pretty good history of getting my past cars to run extremely well out here at HRP which last time I checked one of the fastest, or THE fastest track in the nation....

Any ideas on this?

I went 13.02 Stock, but in very cold conditions like DA-3000 you could drop another .2 sec or so.

I don't know if it is faster, I did not want to get myself into trouble for comparing tracks when I don't know what I am talking about. ......

Just looked it up, HRP is one of the fastest tracks on the NHRA circuit.

With our elevation, mixed with some cool, dry weather this winter, I think I should be able to crack into the 12's bone stock....

Anybody here from Houston wanna plan on headin out there once it cools off?

thinking about it myself this friday just to see if my free mods helped any. best i got before was a 13.4 stock. so i guess we will have to see.

Absolutely possible, last year at ATCO a stock JGC SRT8 ran a best 12.7 stock!!!

I was there and witnessed it along with a 12.8.

Hey several of us from other truck forums are going to HRP on Oct 19th come on out and hang with us or me as far as I know I'm the only Jeep going so far I need some backup

That's funny because I was out last night testing that very thing. Very strange. That is stupid about the TB as well. My Vette was like that, but it was an easy fix as it was not drive by wire. Maybe somebody, or yourself can come up with something for that.

i and some other people have been trying to figure something out. But for the time being have been unsuccesful. only thing we have to look forward to is SCT. that will fix a lot of problems....

Well I will be heading to hrp in my stock 07 srt8 hoping for a high 12 this winter. So I guess I will see you all there.

WTF the dude. i saw you at 518 and dixie frm rd last week i was in the srt10 turning onto dixie. i wanted to do a dig race but after last night(note) i dont want any part of that.

note: my wife and I raced from a dig me in the srt10 her int he srt8. I wasnt pretty at all, I lost by atleast 2 trucks out of the holeand tried to play catch up to 70 or 80. I spun bad and she just flat out kicked my ass off the line.

It also sounds nasty! I retired the Vette from dailydriving and once I saw the jeep I was in love. Small world, hit me up when you plan on taking your wife's car to the track.

yep that was me and thanks. let me know when your ready to mod i have already done the free/cheap stuff. and it definately helps out. Now I am just waiting for PSI to get the tuning software for srt8. we already have it for the vipers and trucks. Mine picked up 20hp and 49 ftlbs of tq.

Anyone around Cordova Dragway...my car club has a rental in November ;) Get in touch with me later this year if interested...I will be trying to squeeze a 12.9x...air should be great and the track sticks. Track is 640ft.. and should be negative DA unless we get freak warm weather.
