Was feeling a little nostalgic today while looking at my last Jeep. You might have seen it either taking names on South Florida streets or heard about it on the net. It was UNDEFEATED on the street thanks to AWD. It was a Mopar 408 stroker (stroked 5.9) that made 450hp on motor and a 13.3 in the 1/4 at 102. Before there was SRT there was this beast. Its very similar to the Jeep SRT8 that we have now. I swear some pics made it to the right place. It lived a good life and invented the phrase "you just got smoked by a jeep." that we all uphold daily. Dont be timid fellow Jeep owners, you can beat some nasty cars with these. For inspiration I have linked a video of me spanking a Grand National. I can put up others if youd like.

How many times did you grenade the tranny or the rest of the driveline??

yes there were several tranny probs. We ended up using ram 2500 diesel parts for the tranny in a 5.9 case. It held.


It is now tearing it up somewhere in West Virginia. We sold it to a guy out there. So if you live around there watch out, you might have a handful, and one hell of a race. It ll beat the SRT8 GC out of the hole and to about 60 then the SRT will gain on it.

i know 2 hands and a couple feet worth of cars faster than that. straight line monsters and twisty guys.

Were those pics taken near the Hollywood/Dania intracoastal? Looks familiar, but cant put my finger on it. I remember some friend in N. Miami Beach telling me about a really fast Jeep in '98 or '99, but don't know if that's when yours was running around.

yeah, that was most likely us. we frequented the ft. lauderdale/ north miami area spanking the unsupecting.

And yes, there are faster cars, but when you take into account racing on the street and the panic shifting that sets in when a jeep gets a jump on your blown 383, all you see are taillights.:D

I have a 7200lb superduty crew cab that runs a 13.65, it's still my daily driver.
