PALELLA 09-13-2007, 12:58 PM Mine is on it's way to me via FedEx. It will be on my truck tomorrow.
m3_il 09-13-2007, 02:49 PM mine should be on today. but it was from tbryne during their special
robdawg1691 09-13-2007, 03:05 PM mine should be on today. but it was from tbryne during their special
I emailed them personally in regards to that special and they didn't give me that low of a price, not anywhere near it. If they had it wuold have been sold/ordered instantly. That is very frustrating, will definitely be thinking twice about those sales from now on.

Think they would do it if you got a certain number of people to order?
GodfatherSRT8 09-13-2007, 04:00 PM i got mine for 849

How did I get a raised sale price? I got quoted at 969.99, no mention of if that included shipping or not. What a rip! Anynone else get this for a sale price when emailing them directly? Or am I the only loser?
PALELLA 09-14-2007, 09:59 AM Mine is installed!!! Sounds amazing!!
jstaylor 09-14-2007, 10:02 AM I also was quoted the $969 price. Guess I'm a loser too.
promo718 09-14-2007, 10:14 AM this thread is the real reason vendors hate posting prices in the forum: different deals get struck with different people
gregg 09-14-2007, 10:18 AM we have no problem posting prices.
robdawg1691 09-14-2007, 10:27 AM we have no problem posting prices.
Which is why I would buy from you before someone that doesn't post prices, even if your price is quoted higher. I'm saving up now to buy a whole bunch of mods from you guys soon, hopefully. Things like this really get under my skin.
HoustonSRT-8 09-14-2007, 10:38 AM we have no problem posting prices.
So how do you get past the "Lowest Advertised Price Allowed" rule then?

That actually isn't true. We do post prices are on our website. Our regular retail for this system is $1169.99 but you seem to be upset because you said received a quote from us that was $200.00 less than this.
Manufacturers have something called M.A.P. (Minimum Advertised Pricing). Vendors are supposed to follow the M.A.P. policy. That says there is a certain price level that we aren't supposed to advertise below. There usually isn't a problem if we quote a lower price over the phone or through e-mail. This allows us to provide a much better price. This info was posted in July -
Why don't vendors post their sale/GP prices?
I see this question come up alot in threads so I'm going to shead some light on the subject -
There is no benefit to us to have customers call or e-mail to receive a price. This actually gives us much more e-mail to answer, many more phone calls and the customer has to make an effort to receive a quote.
It would be much easier to just say "the current sale price is $xxx.xx" but alot of manufacturers have a M.A.P. (Minimum Advertised Pricing) policy that vendors are supposed to follow. Some don't care what price is advertised. Vendors could sell a $500. part for a dollar and it wouldn't matter. This is becoming very rare through. Some don't want their products advertised below a certain price but it doesn't matter what prices vendors quote through e-mail or over the phone. Some don't want any discounts put in writing but discounted prices given out over the phone are ok. There are some manufacturers that have a certain price set and vendors aren't supposed to discount below that. Vendors that do can lost their ability to sell that brand. One manufacturer that we used to deal with changed their pricing policy and set minimum pricing. Well, after years of carrying their products and not having to abide by any guidelines we accidently listed discounted prices after the policy changed. Because of that, we no longer carry their products.
Hope this makes things a little clearer for everyone.

i think it's great that you offered a sale for 200 dollars. i'm just saying that i don't think it's right to quote different sale prices to different people. someone got a price of 849, i got a price of 970. just a little shady.

No, that is incorrect. Check my reply to your post in our section of the site (linked on the previous page). The person that you are referring to ordered during a group purchase in July. That price was lower than the sale price for systems that we had this week.
Thanks!
