What are you guys using to get the fastest0-60 times? I have trouble with the stick from 1st to 2nd... I shift 500rpm before the redline and it still hits the revlimiter... it seems to shift a little slow for me. So i have been using the auto for most driving.
Let me know what you guys think.

I don't think I can shift as quickly as the computer.
I use the "manual" for traffic and downshifting. Also just for fun.

It takes some practice, but you will able to shift reliably once you get the timing down. From what I've read here and on other boards, I think most guys are getting there best times leaving it in automatic. The GS torque management mod may make shifting manually faster and improve times, but I haven't seen any posts on that yet.

For best acceleration let it shift itself. For down shifting and driving the twisties shift it manually.
BTW, at 500 rpms before redline you may be past the powerband. Each engine is a little different. That's one of the valuable pieces of information you get from a dyno sheet. You can see exactly where the power starts falling off and then know when to shift for optimal performance. Plus, with the autostick you need to shift a little earlier than you normally would anyway because of torque control soft shifts. On mine, the torque control also kicks in a lot on the 1-2 shift if I wind it out too far at WOT. I found that if I'm manually shifting, it's better to short shift the 1-2 and then shift the other gears in the 5,200 to 5,500 rpm range.

When your information center pops up saying "Upshift now" You must shift right when you see that blink, that is going to be your fastest shift in manual mode, also shifting that way will keep you from shifting to early or shifting after redline, but for the fastest shift overall the computer will always outshift a human.
Also just wondering what the GS torque management mod is and what it does? Thanks
