Well just got a carryover 07 SRT 8 Jeep and with 500 miles and all stock we had at it. We have some new blacktop right by the house so I marker off a quarter mile and the wife and I had some fun racin. First we raced the SRT 8 against the trans am (auto with maf ends, a lid and she knows how to drive) I had the g tech on the Jeep, and turned a 13.4 @ 106 and beat her by about 2-3 lengths with the Jeep. We let the Jeep cool down and this time I drove the Z06 and she had the Jeep. I actually hung with the Jeep through first and starting pulling hard after that. I would estimate about 8 lengths at the end of the quarter. For reference I raced a new shelby GT 500 and beat him by about 3 lengths with the Z06. Z is stock except a vararam ram air system and nitto drag radials. We sure like the Jeep just wondering if these results seem to be in line with what you experienced guys in the racing department have noticed.

Stock for Stock the jeep vs. the ZO6 should be a much closer race, drag radials do wonders, if it was street tires it would of been a different story. I raced 2 identical Mustang GT500's. One had drag radials and he beat me by 3 car lengths and the other was on the stock rubber and he got destoyed by 7-8 car lengths. The TA seems on par, and the Z06 with DR's also seems on par with what I have come across in the 120+ races I have had in the jeep.

Seems like you had fun and that's all count. Now far as #'s and specs go, I haven't had the chance to run my srt8 yet! Anyhow good luck with the truck.

I am starting to think that the GT 500 I raced wasn't stock. He claimed it was but I expected to beat him worse than I did. I did have the drag radials on the Z but not the vararam. I would sure like to beat him with the Jeep cause he was sure depressed about me beating him with the Z but I think beating him with the Jeep might cause him to sell the GT 500! What is all this talk on this forum about the predator programmer, and how much is it expected to help, I noticed the Jeep shifts into second at about 5600 rpm which sure cant be helping the times. I have ordered the b woody cold air already.

sounds like great racing bruno, wish we had some "fresh blacktop" where we could get away with 1/4mi races in NJ!

You should be able to pull better times than 13.4 with the jeep. But that is a good start.
