SORRY FOR THE LONG POST........

Hey guys, I just picked up my 06 black GC on Monday night, it has 23K on it........I was out of town all weekend but it was there waiting for me in the garage :) First impression......pretty nice truck!! I came out of a VW Touareg, and many other German cars before that. The power delivery of the GC is absolutely amazing and the styling is very nice, not much you have to do with it!!!
Anywho.......went to the track last night(lebanon valley-NY)......My best time that i pulled was a 13.5@100........I was happy to get mid 13's but feel that i could prob do better. Is there anything you guys suggest i do?? On that run, i had ESP off and power braked it @1000 rpm. Another guy there recommended i pull the abs fuse, what should this do and is it recommended, any lights come on? I also noticed on a couple of runs that power kinda hesitated in the upper rpm's, and on one run it just gave me fuel cut for a quick moment then kicked up power again........no clue!!! Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm going in for service today for oil change and other random checks. Is there anything i should ask the dealer to look for, maybe change the spark plugs? Any recalls? Also, i noticed one of the wheels' chrome is chipping a little bit, anyone else had this problem.

Welcome.....If you do a search, you will find a ton of posts related to all your questions. The attached link is a great place for general info and to see all tsb's that might effect your ride.

The "fuel cut" sounds like you hit the rev limiter if you were in auto stick. Anyway check out the link, again, enjoy.

Over 30,000 miles on mine and no problem with wheels. (maybe got curb rashed a bit?) or tires were check for GoodYear afety campaign and mount machine got it.
