I am not a street racer but there is a certain amount of pride I take driving my GC SRT8 and every now and then there is a need to let it fly. Needless to say a guy I play softball with has this blue 06 mustang gt that he is very proud of. I don't say too much about thhe jeep....don't have to...whenever I pull up to the field just about everyone turns to see what is pulling up. Anyway to the point....

Tonight after the game we both happen to leave the field together with me follwing behind the stang. I'm minding my own business at the first traffic light. The light turns green and the stang peels out and makes a left at wot. I can't hold back and mash the throttle into the turn. The stang sounds nice as it get louder and louder...but that's because I'm pactically in his back seat changing his radio station.. There was no room to pass him (single lane road) but I was pulling on him pretty good and could have passed him without a problem over the next 20 miles an hour. Anyway that was enough of a showing for me for the night. At the next light I yelled out and told him the stang sounded nice, made a right and was on my way home.

I learned one thing first hand tonight - stock mustangs are absolutely no match for our SRT8's. :) I have 10k miles on the jeep and it is faster than ever...

I gotta go with the Jeep....for about 60-100 feet. Once the Cobra hook's up it's all over.
