Went to the stealership 8/31 at 8pm and walked out 9pm w/ the 08 GC. this car is a blast can't wait to hit the 1000k mark so i can start ragging it out. So far no whine in the rear axle and myGig seems to be working just fine. it is a little slow switching stations but I am more of a AM guy anyway so I won't be switching much. Already pulled the jeep off the front hood. Still torn in removing the back. I want people to know what just flew by them. hahha. Pics to come soon. its been raining in Houston so I am waiting to get a pic of the GC w/ its older sister the 06 SRT8 Charger. thanks for all the info and Bob for giving me a price that I flashed at the stealership. They matched it! BTW for all you Houston area guys they have another 08 on the lot w/ 6 miles on it. Mine had 15 they wouldn't let me have the 6 mile one since it already has the added srt kick plates and VIN Etching in the glass. Anyway great car and looking to meet some locals. Congrats! The 06 owners manual says 300 miles for break in, not 1K. What does the 08 manual say?

You know im not sure, i only glanced at it to see if I could adjust the rear camera, it doensn't focus to well on the surroundings. Kind of like looking through a dirty window. This is my 5th brand new car in my career of buying new. I usually change oil at the first 1k then start tearing it up. I did good on the 06 srt8, and the 98 TA and they both are still going strong. TA has 186k. I probably will start thrashing on the GC at 500 its just way to much fun to launch. I have 107 going to drive to laporte here in an hour or so that should be good for 200 mile round trip.

It had a sticker called Dealer added options, it was $325 for some metal kick guards that had SRT in black on them. It also had VIN number etching on all the windows.

I put some pictures in the top post, they link to putfile. My neighbor said if I put 1 more black car in the driveway i should get a hearse (sp). Maybe i could convert a magnum to a hearse, now that would be cool. hahaha

The owners manual of the '08 also says 300 miles for break in.

As for the sills, with my discount they're $61.50 at my local dealer.

Yeah, black is the way to go. How do you like the Zoomers on the GC, I have them on my charger and they sound great. Haven't heard much talk about them on the GC, everyone seems to push Borla, its just me but I refuse to put Borla on any of my cars. But i have my reasons....
