This afternoon I called around 4 or 5 local dealers and asked if they had an srt trained technician on staff.
I was not very impressed by the response!
2 were honest and said no, 2 said they thought so, may be? and one guy said he didn't know what I meant??? (Orange Coast Jeep)
Are there any out there in the OC (SoCal)???
My first service/Oil change is coming up (2600 miles) does anyone have a list of current tsb's or issues I need to check on?
Thanks.

In order to become a DCX SRT dealership, the store must put up $15,000 to become certified. That includes sending at least one technician to become certified to work on the SRT models. If the dealership is selling the SRT8 line, they should in theory have at least one. Only about 50% of the dealerships recieved certification to carry the line.

My advice is to ask where some guys take their cars for service. Have you called countywide? The reason I ask is that I used to work for Volvo, and Countywide and Circle VW/Audi,Porsche are all in the Circle automotive group. I'll find out. You can always ask to havea specific technician work on your car and you can also ask if the Master Techs are certified and to have them show you their certification. Lastly make sure that you explain everything to them and have it put it in writing that way you'll be covered under warranty if they do screw up

Anyone use a Houston dealership for service yet?
I'm about to have my stock nav replaced at Allen Samuels in Clear Lake. Surely they don't need to be SRT cert'd for that!! :)
