My lease is up on my daily driver in December.. I always liked Jeep's and have decided to get an SRT-8..I was getting ready to order a 2008, when I heard to 2009 might have a major engine upgrade..The person who told me stated it as a fact, now it remains to be seen. But 80 horsepower is significant enough that I would want it when it comes out.

So here is the choice to make...Get a 2006 or 2007 soon and perhaps an 09 if there is a new motor, etc or...buy a 2008 now..I would not be leasing..

I've seen two modded 2006's, asking in the low 30's..

Any information on pricing of these or comments are appreciated!

Soil my fleet? I don't think so! Wanted to test drive an SRT8 but dealer didnt have one...walked into an audio store in town,,srt8 parked in front...stranger handed me the keys and said, take it for a drive...Off I went alone (how cool was that to do for someone?) and had a blast..

So, how did the oversteer feel? ... someone here was complaining about OS. I can't imagine OS on a GCSRT8.. is that doable?

BTW -- I'd kinda like to have a new Cayenne Turbo ... but NOT for $100K plus. My philosphy... at the end of the day, they're just vehicles -- and they all look the same in the bone yard.

Might have had some oversteer but I didn't push it or drive it for long considering the owner just handed me the keys out of the blue...The only thing that scared me was the tranny sorta shut down when i shifted it..like it got confused? Maybe it was thinking...who the f*(k is this guy driving me?

talk about confused .. I just learned, and am completely dumbfounded to the reason why the GCSRT8 design team built this vehicle without a limited slip differential in the Dana 44 ... how in the hell could anyone induce oversteer or have some fun with open diffs?

I can't get over the thought of not having a limited slip differential .. this is a deal breaker for me. I was hoping for a turnkey performance vehicle.

what were they thinking? :confused:
