FastSRT8GC 08-21-2007, 04:26 PM Edwin,
It will be asked so I will get it out of the way now. Do they make a two piece rotor for the factory setup?
Also is the just front?

Sorry...No 2 piece replacements for factory rotors. :(
mingoglia 08-21-2007, 05:03 PM I'm new to the SRT vehicles. I just picked up my '08 on Friday but I have to ask a question of my own... Are the stock Brembo's so "inadequate" that one can justify so much $$$ to upgrade? After all, they're already Brembos... does a Jeep need to stop that much faster?
cobrakid 08-21-2007, 05:27 PM ...you have too freakin much money if you spend $4k+ to upgrade the
already great brakes!
If you are that worried about performance braking than maybe you shouldn't
have bought a 5000 lb sport truck. just my opinion.

Isn't that like saying... The 6.1L HEMI is a great engine that makes a lot of power, you would be nuts to modify it.
Just something to think about...
one would be better off replacing the stock rubber than the brakes themselves imo
i think this system is set up for people who do some heavy tracking, even then ive yet to hear about anyone who has tracked their GC complain about fade

Some people have enough money to have the best of EVERYTHING. This mod would be great for those people. I'm also sure that the OE Brembo's could be sold for a pretty penny.
There's nothing wrong with that.
FastSRT8GC 08-21-2007, 08:20 PM I would love to have some bigger brakes to compensate for my bigger power. But I think Brembo could come out with an extension for our current calipers and put on a bigger floating rotor. That I would buy. OR if this kit was 4k for all the way around, not just front. Oh well.
Current setup is perfect, except for those who want to road race this. Which I plan on, but not enough to consider this option.
