rcs8104 07-15-2006, 08:03 AM I want to replace the speakers and add amp to Nav radio. If I use the JL Audio Clean Sweep will that allow me to retain the uconnect and steering wheel radio controls. If so, where does the clean sweep need to be installed, before or after the factory amp. Is there any issues I may run into if I add amp/speakers. Did you do your own stereo work? Did you keep your head unit? If I use the audiocontrol lc8 does this keep the functionality of nav, uconnect and steering wheel audio controls. That is why I was going to use the clean sweep for. I was told that was the purpose of the device. I want to upgrade the sound of my ride, but don't want to loose any of the functionality of the navagation and uconnect. idealrides 07-16-2006, 10:14 AM Thanks, yes I did the work and kept the headunit. With both the LC8 and the cleansweep you keep all the functions like nav prompts and uconnect, the main difference is that the cleansweep gives you a more "clean" signal at the expense of not being able to use your stock volume control because if you did it would throw the system out of alignment. First, I'd like to add an amp & subs. I want to keep the oem headunit/hand controls/nav/etc. I've been reading the post/threads on stereo upgrades. Does anyone have a wiring diagram? Do I need an output converter? Do I keep the oem amp if I'm only adding subs/amp? Where is the oem amp(under rear seat, I haven't even looked yet)? | ||
