The new rotors just showed up. Not sure if I'll get them put on this weekend, or wait until the new wheels are here, but I figured I'd show them off. They are from brakeworld.com, and I went with all 4.

They look better in your pics than they do on brakeworlds site. I have looked at them several times there, and am getting close to pulling the trigger. Was going to call them and make sure of fitment as regards 14.2 front and 13.8 rear. Assume they assured you they will fit with no adaptors due to Brembo size. This was one of the first mods I did on my M3 when I put the Euro cross drilled ones on. Even more so than the M, we have so much of the rotor showing that I know this is going to look totally awesome on your GC. Can't wait to see pics, and hear how the install went. Congrats on this purchase, bet you're gonna love this mod.

$1000 is alot of coin for BLING! The stock rotors are much better than any cross drilled aftermarket rotor you can buy. The stockers dont look as nice, but I know they wont crack and will stop me every time.

I bought them 100% for cosmetic purposes. I don't drive fast or stop fast, so for the occasional quick stop, they will function every bit as good as stockers. I don't plan on testing their limits, so cracking and warping will not be a concern to me.

You really should put them on now, that way, ummm, when you get your new wheels you'll be able to install them and enjoy them more quickly!

...and you could share pictures of what the rotors look like behind the stock wheels. :)

The last time I let my wife drive one of my Jeeps ('02 GC V8 LTD) she damaged 3 wheels, 1 severely, and ruined a Michelin that required replacement. She tried to cover it up by having the spare wheel/tire mounted before I got home. She said she "couldn't tell where the curbs were". That was 4 years ago. She has not driven any of the cars I have had since. When I got the SRT8, she looked at the wheels & tires and knew there wasn't a chance in hell of her ever (except when I'm dead) of driving the beast.

We have been married for 25 years and she has her own car; a 2001 SLK 320 6MN. She loves her convertible, but it has 2 f'd up mags that came from the same casual curbside driving style.

Does anybody make an all rubber wheel?

Oh, the brake rotors look GREAT.

ge2

Rubber wheel ..... LOL that's funny. I've always been nervous about wheels when she drives, but on the GC the only car-related thing I worry about is the low chin.

all girls are different. I used to have a girlfriend that I wouldn't trust driving a golf cart. I now have a fiance that drives her Avalanche around like it's a damn minicooper. I'm not kidding! The only reason I try not to let her drive my SRT is she starts complaining how slow her truck is, how her stock stereo sucks, no bluetooth, etc.

That's funny stuff right there. My wife hated to drive my last couple of rides. The bagged thing was just a bit more than she cared to pay careful attention to. And after several different sets of 24s on them, and me constantly warning about curb rash, I really think she got tired of driving my stuff. Enter the 'race-car' (as the jeep is now affectionately known as in our house)..... she likes to drive it whenever she can.

I have hundreds of pics of her, but none are of the terribly exciting variety, if you know what I mean. I think I have a bikini shot somewhere, but for now this is the best I can do. Sorry.

Rotors look great but probably DC will replace the factory ones under warranty? Maybe? Brakes are a big problem because of No More Asbestos! I worked on this for several years with not much improvement! Noise problems, grabbing when cold, glazing over, and wearing out the drum/rotors! A big subject that the Engs talked about at the SRT Nats last July. Gene

So far the GC are not part of the grooved rotor recall / replacement. Down the road.... who knows, they may have replaced them with slotted rotors at no cost, but I'm a selfish, gotta-have-it-now kinda guy.

I am really liking the rotors a lot. They squeaked like a son of a gun in stop and go traffic for the first few hundred miles, but now they are perfect.

after doing my research and looking at your pics for the last few months I am purchasing the discitalia rotors. thanks a lot moderator :D

After my friend went with the R1 rotors I was waiting to see these centric performance rotors. Guess what I found out the R1 rotors and the centric performance rotors are the same thing thats why they look the same. It even says centric on my friends R1 rotor. So we called centric to ask them if they were there rotors.... they are. They are both made by the same company in china.

by the way.. has anyone else who has purchased the centric rotors w/ the black hubs had a problem w/ the black coating rusting??

It's the Brembo Big brake kit for the Charger/300 I believe. Big 8 piston calipers, big 15" rotors, big $$$, but sweet.
