Just wondering what top speeds have been hit with the GCSRT owners.

With my stock pcm I hit 173 and then the gov kicked.
With the B&G I have hit 182 but ran out of road, but still had rpm left to go.

Just this past weekend 155 on my drive to Mn. New high for me. Previous top speed was 140

167 windshield howlin MPH (GPS)

On the Texas Autobahn....AND there was Cayenne turbo about 10 car lengths back. We were coming up on traffic "real fast" so I didnt get to see the magic 170 mark.

my highest was 150... i live in NY... so i dont really trust these roads here... one bump im gone... one time i was going around 100... and hit a bump, i hopped onto another lane :(

I hit 149mph leaving from the Bahrain International Raceway. :)

it was on the freeway with no on or off ramps and hills on both sides hit a 2 mile stretch starting at a 100mph , as far as slowing down it did really well,it droped to 80 in a matter of about 6 sec.

I was almost positive our rigs were governed at 155 mph ??? Ive done 245KMH on the highway..... Am i missing something?:(

I haven't felt a governor yet and I've hit 165 before I ran out of road.

I question the 182 claim. At 165 it had about 500 rpm left and was taking forever to climb 1 more mph

Last time I topped it out drag was my only govenor to the tune of around 165mph, but that's before modding.

I don't believe we are governed at all. I've hit like 145 myself and shut her down b/c I didn't want a ticket at that speed. I thought we topped out around 165 and the LXs around 176 or so due to less drag.

Yeah... thats what I always read about it... drag limited to 160mph (manufacturer claims).

Hey all new to the post im interested in going to salt flatd in utah to try and make the 130 mph club,do you think the gcsrt8 i capible of hitting 130 mph stock in 1 mile from stand still on salt?

I'm sure it took me more than a mile to get up to 149 :D

I would have to say it would be close but yes, because I just ran the 1/4 this last weekend and hit 110.2 mph threw the trap with all motor, NO SPRAY. So to hit 130mph with 3/4mi to go is possible.

If you can't hit 130mph something is severely wrong... a 2.4L grand am could reach those speeds with that much room.

That's what I'm saying.... While it does seem to climb pretty steady.... The ground is very quickly getting gobbled up. The straight away on the formula track must be just shy of a mile and I only get 120mph before I need to start braking to make turn 1.

Thanks guys I am planning the trip for next year,But I plan to make it next year for sure and before I go I will have so mods done from gs motorsports.Anyone know any local tracks that I can run 1/4 local to Queens,NY.I would like to see what this thing can do without getting a ticket.(i work as a driver and cant play on the local roads to much).130 mph club here i come.
