You have to change every 3k when running 100% synthetic?No, you don't have to but that is the recommended interval for normal driving conditions as stated in the manual. And this is with 100% synthetic as it is the only oil recommended. And I don't know why as MB's AMG vehicles have intervals up to 15K with Mobil 1. It's not an issue for me as I do all my own maintenance & have changed oil, even full synthetics, at 3K intervals for 40+ years. I'm guessing this is a sign that the SRT engineers expect the 6.1 Hemi's to be run hard & may be taking precautions to protect the engines from owners who will never even check the oil between changes.

Got my 3 spare oil filters and Mobil1, 3k and I do it myself.

My first oil change was today at 4,6oo miles. Was I supposed to have it done sooner? :eek: I thought the manual said 3K or 5K depending on the environment? Oh well. At least I put in the Mobil 1 0W-40. :D

However, I did have it done at Wal-Mart so that probably negates the benefits of using the DC's preferred oil. :D
