I've been 'pulled over' 4 times in an SRT in the past two months but haven't received any (real) tickets yet. Anyone else getting pulled over but not getting tickets in an SRT?

1. Pulled over in downtown Los Angeles after being trailed for a quarter of a mile...they finally pulled me over and gave me a fixit ticket for having no front plate. Maybe they just wanted to see the ride?

2. Police came to the front door of house after I'd let wife borrow ride. Police said, "We heard someone driving real fast and we think it might be you." No ticket for my wife (and no more letting her borrow the ride!)...maybe they just wanted to see the ride up close?

3. Pulled over in LA for "looking suspicious." No ticket...maybe they wanted to see the ride?

4. My favorite: driving the 2008 Viper SRT10 (tester from Dodge...friend works at one of those automobile mags...don't wanna get him in trouble so won't say which one). Testing out those 600 hp, see a cop, slam the brakes, was probably doing 100 or so as we got off the freeway. Of course the cop pulls up beside us, tells us to roll down the window. He asks, "What was that all about?" We shrug, we know we're screwed. Cop says, "Doesn't that thing already come with three tickets in the glove compartment? Slow down." Whew! No ticket!

Love the SRTs! But don't love getting pulled over...

Ive also been pulled over twice now and both times got off with no ticket (1 written warning tho) The cop was like.... "what is that thing"..."i love the exhaust"...."it sounds great" Ha Ha

The real question is how many of you been laid because of the GC SRT8..:D
My ex girlfriend who wanted nothing to do with me in that way...came for a ride when i first got it and half way through the ride was like "wow, pull over in that alley..." the rest is history :eek:

just got pulled over for the first time last weekend on my way from reno to SF. got tagged by an aircraft, ending my perfect streak since i was 18. 95 in a 65, cop didn't say a damn thing about my speed or anything just kept looking at my car while they ran my info. i got the ticket but he told me to gun it from the shoulder and he just watched me from outside of his car while i floored it to merge. wrote down 'jeep srt' on the ticket for model. he was nice enough and i was probably doing closer to 110 than 95 so i wasnt pissed about the ticket.

another time i was dropping a friend off at a DUI school thing and the cops in the parking lot were gawking pretty hard "that thing got a hemi?" "yeah you moron thats the srt!" "that the 6.1?!!?!" "damn how many tickets you got!"

I got two 85mph+ in a 55 tickets in my tahoe and a few other bad ones over the three years i owned it, and pulled over quite a few times but so far i've had the GC SRT8 for 3 months and no tickets and never pulled over, I owe part of that to my new passport radar detector and my laser difuser. I would also like to thank my brother Tom, and God most importantly. And by he way i don't drive like a *****, I've hit that 145 mark on multiple ocassions.

I just got back to back tickets - one for 80 in a 55 zone (was actually going 95-100) about a month ago, and another last week - 80 in a 65 zone (95 in a 55 zone).

I really need to be a little more careful..

I have the same story. Got pulled over memorial day weekend for 118 in a 55. Aircraft spotted me in my 06 BMW 5 series. I got a ticket for 95 in 55 and have court next week.

I got pulled over at Melrose and La Cienega. I was doing 35 in a 35...they gave me fixit tickets for tinted front windows and no plate.

I was not in the mood to chat with them...but I think that's why i got pulled over in the first place.

It DEFINATELY draws attention...some good, some not so good.

If you live in the Houston area call David Sprecher 713 639 2600. It costs about $125.00 per offense but he will get your ticket dismissed.

I have used him for over a dozen tickets since I was 16, I am now 34 and have never had an offense stick. He knows the prosecutors and the system. I never have to take defensive driving course. Insurance never goes up.

Well worth the money.

No one around here knows what the SRT is, yet. They are still hung up on the Z28. LOL. I have been pulled over in the R/T w/no real explanation as why other than "you got on it back there..." I didn't break the limit that i remember. He walked the car down complimenting me.

Lol...girls do love the SRT8, esp when you WOT it...but officially this is all second hand info and I love my wife. :D

Thanks go out to my passport radar that has saved me many times but I got caught last month. He was just over a hill and behind a small hill. When the radar went off it was too late. I went to court to plead for leniency not holding up much hope but the Judge said thanks for not denying that you were speeding and reduced the speed to 70 which means NO POINTS - amazing!

I had fun with a friend of mine from my former squad at the department I used to work at. He's pretty wacky, and I saw him patrolling on Rt. 73 (a major throughway here in South Jersey). He didn't know I had the truck so I pulled up behind him at a high rate of speed, tailgating him pretty close. Then I changed lanes abruptly and floored it right past him. The road was clear or else I would never had done this.

He hit the lights and tried to keep up, but the crown vics just can't come close. I pulled over a mile down the road and got out of the truck and stood behind it, waiting for him. Once he realized it was me he got out and we were talking.

His words: "Holy sh*t! What IS that truck?" :) We had fun looking at it and later on I let him drive it. He now has a Charger SRT8. Spread the love guys!

I got pulled over tonight.........

There are over 100 officers in my town and the same guy has pulled me over the past 4 times. Only difference is that tonight I didn't get a ticket. He actually let me go. I'm still not sure as to why... Maybe it's the SRT?
